So I was looking for the best affordable tint and this is my experience: I bought this one and others from maybelline thinking those stayed more, but then discovered the maybellines ones would dry my lips horribly and then started to peal, and if I put chapstick on the tint would move and then fade like a regular lipgloss, oh and I hated that they would always tint my teeth!! I was so mad because I wasted a lot of money on their different shades.Then I remembered I had bought this one and gave it a try, man what a difference! This one feels so soft (and I understood why the name “velvet) and would stay on, it never ever dried my lips like the other one, even if I put chapstick (I cannot live while feeling my lips dry so I use chapstick all day long) and it didnt reabsorb!! I would eat and the color would still be there, it is not the SUPER tint because it does fade with the hours, but it will still be there for a good time. If you don’t eat while using it and you are not a chapstick maniac it will mostly last all day, but even if you eat it will keep a subtle shade, I absolutely loved it! I’m sure there would be better tints out there but they have a higher price and I really liked this one so I’ll be buying other shades, you cannot beat the price and the quality is worth it not like the maybellines ones :(

Don’t get me wrong. I love this lip tint! The color is gorgeous and I will be buying other shades. However, like many products it has it flaws. Here’s some pro’s and con’s of this lip tint!Pro’s- It’s super cute. Your lips look so velvety and soft. I blended mine out for a nice ombré lip with a bit of concealer and it worked well!- The color is vibrant and smooth. It comes in so many wonderful shades.- It’s super easy to apply and work with.Con’s- It dried out my lips a lot. Of course skin types are different and this could work just fine for anyone else, but after wearing it for a few hours my lips felt extremely dry. (However the velvety, smooth texture didn’t show this at all visibly.)- It’s a little difficult to get off, but I wouldn’t let that get you down to much. A bit of rubbing with a micellar or whatever makeup remover you use should be fine.

I really love the color, it's very flattering even if I couldn't get a good picture.If put it on my chapped lips and at first it looked bad (because chapped lips don't need lipstick on them!) but they have smooth out after 30 minutes. I don't think this is very long lasting, while drinking coffee during a zoom conference it was fading towards the end of the hour long meeting.It also has a scent like a candy or kids like lipstick which I do not mind but it's might bother you.The box arrived with no protection which I didn't like. It was just ready to use and I think you could tell if you someone had used it but it would be nice if it was sealed in some way.Overall, pretty color and I'm glad I have this in my collection.

It's velvety and a good product. I'm sensitive to smells so I noticed the mild perfume smell right away. It's pleasant. But I'd prefer no smell. I would definitely order again if there was no smell.
