These were just what I wanted. We use them to strap our 13-1/2' kayak on the roof of our Saturn VUE. Using side to side with little negative space works perfect & do not come loose however hooking it up long wise to the roof & hood have come loose after about 5 minutes of driving. It bounces around & though we tied the ends it still happens. We've had to pull over twice to tighten again but after the 2nd time we let it go. it held up to our destination abt 30 mins & didn't fall off.I love that they don't scratch our paint (our 12 year old suv's paint is still holding up lol). We have to throw it over our car to get to the other side so it helps that these are not metal. There are many in the package so maybe those 2 are defective, we have used them more than once & had this problem but maybe they were the same ones. I'd still recommend them, they are easy to use & strong when there's not much free area to move around.

Used these to tie down 2 kayaks to cross rails, nothing sharp or cornered, which I've done hundreds of times. These straps frayed on the first use, not even sure on what?? Unfortunate because I really liked the rubber boot. I tried to show in the pictures but looks worse in real life. Returned.

This doesn't feel like its going to hold up in the weather and I don't trust it like I do the typical strap material - the material feels like woven cotton or something. If you're not going to use outside or with lots of pressure this may be ideal as the cord and buckle aren't going to mark anything.

Awesome strong and worth the price. We repeatedly like heavy items by there strap. Up to 1200 pounds (using a Warn Pullzall with a 2:1:pulley system. So far so good.

PROS: Quick delivery. Smooth coating which makes it easy to slide into a good position when you are trying to wrangle your canoe or kayak up on the rack. Rubber protection on the metal parts. 6 units which is a great value.CONS: none
