For the 8s xmaxx, is this all I need to see speed, rpm, voltage, and esc temp?

In short, yes. This will allow you to pair a smart phone with the transmitter. That then allows you to update your ESC with the newest telemetry upgrade. Once the telemetry programming has been added to the ESC, you can then read it on your phone, but you will need this part to do it.

Works as intended.

Made adjusting my drag slash a breeze. You will need additional sensors to get speed rpm temp and voltage readouts but you still get a lot of other great tools and functions with this.
