Q: Are these really "hand-wash-only"? Or has anyone washed them in the machine with okay results?

These blankets are fantastic! I always wash mine in the machine (delicate cycle). The fabric is thin and has the potential to ware in the machine so take caution on what you put in the wash along with them. I hang dry for a bit then pop them in the dryer on fluff to get that soft feel towards the end.

Q: Why is the blue floral swaddle stiff?

I saw some reviews saying that they were stiff but I didn't see a difference in the feel of any of the blankets I bought and the blue was my favorite so I am not sure why some received blue blankies that were stiff.
