This cable is the Truf!
First things first, this cable is REAL. Sure, it came new and in non-retail packaging, but the MONSTER logo and all are intact, so don't be afraid to buy it.After wrestling with whether to buy a cheap HDMI cable or a branded one like MONSTER, I decided to ignore all the noise and chatter about all HDMI cables being the same and went with the MONSTER and I HAVE NO REGRETS. In fact, I'm so glad I went with the MONSTER cable. The first thing I noticed was the amazing sound clarity; it was so much sharper than the generic cable that came with my STB (set-top box).As for the video, I popped in Game of Thrones, S4 into my Sony Blu-ray player and my goodness, I was blown away and amazed at the sharp images I was seeing.I have always used MONSTER cables right from college, but last year, I started reading about CNET claiming all HDMI cables are the same and there's no need to drop $$$ on branded cables such as MONSTER. Boy, am I glad I didn't listen and go for a cheap $5, $6, $7 or $8 cable.

great product!
I bought it on a whim hoping it would bring out the best of my 1080p tv and it does wonders! I would recommend this product to everybody witha 1080p hdtv. Its cheaper than most stores! It also sticks well if you connect it right and won't fall off if you accidentally pull it from the wire. Plus it comes in original packing! It even works on my 3d tv. Don't waste your money on other hdmi's this is the best.

Monster ultimate high is the only way to go
I purchased this cable for $48 and two 1 meter ultimate high monster for $29 each. All in original Monster Packaging. This was one of the best home theater decisions I have ever made. I have a super system built around near top of the Line KEF English speakers with a sony receiver rated by Cnet and consumer reports as by far the best $500 receiver on the market. I also have a Bluetooth DVD player and an Apple TV I use for Netflix and playing my music when not playing Honky Tonk music on 811 directv. I have the receiver feeding my top of the line Samsung 55 inch Plasma TV. I had fantastic sound and picture except when the I would lose the picture and would have to turn the tv off then back on again. It took a couple of weeks of testing, reading equipment reviews - especially on the Sony receiver -- before I became convinced that the problem was caused by my cheap HDMI thin whimpy cables being overloaded or not making perfect contact with all my components. I used the 8 ft heavy cable to hook the receiver to the TV and the two 1 meter heavy cables to connect the DirectV HD recorder and the Bluetooth DVD player to the receiver. And replacing the whimpy cables with the heavy "stay as bent" cables having "stay connected" ends was easy.It has been a week since I installed the new cables. No picture loss or any other problems have occurred. Final comment. Buy Monster from Amazon. Throw the cheap whimpy thin HDMI cables in the trash where they deserve to be.UPDATEJust ordered another 1 meter 17.8 moster cable to hook my Apple TV to my receiver. The existing whimpy cable came out of the receiver when I moved it slightly. Monster cables stay hooked up

ALL WIRES ARE THE SAME..YEAH DON'T THINK SO!!
I am an A/V freak on a buget, these hdmi cables were the best solution for me. First off I'm really sick of everyone saying hdmi is a digital conection and cheap vs expensive wires don't matter! Even though this is true to a certain extent...., I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I paid for the build quality. These cables look heavy duty and beatiful in real life. I also paid for the high end "V-Grip" design from Monster. Cheaper cables are smooth and slide out of the socket, damaging your video port. It is true that they will not make your picture better..but you do get a lot of other benfits though! When I plugged them in I INSTANTLY NOTICED deeper more vivid colors compared to my 10 dollar hdmi cord. I NOTICED smoother motion on my SAMSUNG, it played back without stuttering or jutter. With the cheaper cords I noticed the picture lag and jutter. I never waste time typing reveiws, but I needed to get this honest info out there! Now for the Cons.... The super saver shipping was terrible. If I could do it again, I would have paid the five bucks to get it in a week. Even though super saver is free its not worth it. I took almost two weeks from clicking order to holding the wires. When I recieved the package, It looked authentic, It definitely could have been packed better though! It came with one sheet of bubble wrap thrown in, without a shipping invoice. Also when unboxing, the hdmi cord was really stiff and thick. So you have to take it easy when unwinding them and running them for the first time. Other than that, I'm really very happy with my purchase!
