Awesome experience here
Not sure why people have posted that you won’t or can’t solder any copper greater than 1/2”. I just soldered multiple 3/4” piping to include a brass ball gate valve with no issues using propane. Perhaps their technique is off and parts are not well prepared. Also, turn the knob until you hear slight hissing before attempting to ignite. No issues with that her contrary to complaints. Only thing is during use, the flame will begin to get weaker so you’ll need to throttle your output with the knob. I absolutely love this tool especially when space is limited and the bottle won’t cut it.

WOW
I usually opt for the cheapest propane torch for soldering copper pipes but I just found out there was a flexible hose you can easily solder underneath the copper pipe. This is money well spent. It's one of the cheapest options that actually works.

Works well after fixing it.
It works well after I fixed it. My ignitor was not working from the very moment I opened it. So I disassembled it. I discovered that the grounding wire was not well connected. After fixing that, I tried it again and it still didn't work. So I looked at the wire inside to tube. It still had its plastic sleeve completely covering it. I stripped off about 3/8 of an inch exposing the bare wire. Finally I am getting a spark! I put it all back together and test with gas. It works every time now.Quality control should have caught my issues.

It's a torch
It's a torch, that creates a hot flame. I like that I don't have to hold and twist the bottle around when I'm soldering pipes. Also the ignitor seems to work fine so far and I like not having to find a lighter or match when it's time to fire up the torch. Added bonus, the torch I received has a brass flame adjustment knob, which I consider an upgrade over what's pictured with the blue plastic knob.

Great torch that broke
Although I've owned this for two years I used it for six or seven hours total as a homeowner, soldered some pipes, heated some frozen bolts and other odds and ends. Most recently was using it to remove paint from siding on my house by heating and scraping when the ignitor quit, I now have to light it with a striker. I am very disappointed that it's broken with so little use.
