Best buy
This is the best purchase I’ve made for a long time on Amazon . TruTrak are very friendly and helpful too. Install went ok id plan ahead with where your going to install it. Find your wiring can be a challenge depending on the vehicle . I’m not sure how to set up the notifications via app yet but sure TruTrak will help me out again . Would recommend these trackers seem like the best on market and subscription is decent too

It is the software/portal that makes all the difference here.
Cheap trackers work pretty well these days but their mapping/reporting etc. is usually abysmal. This product, while fairly cheap, has a much cleaner and more intuitive interface - with detail available under the surface. The phone app also works well. Very pleased with it! You also get a courtesy call/email just to check that you are not having any problems. I wasn't but still appreciated the effort - Shock! The communication is all in genuine English so feel reassured if you have not fitted anything like this before.Minor improvements could be to reduce the size of the Green circled arrows that represent the tracked points along a route (looks like someone went crazy with a giant Bingo marker) and also to provide a key for some of the symbols - though I may just not have found that yet.

10/10 service with a special mention to Gary
Special mention to Gary, who was the stand out reason I chose this company. After some recent theft in the area I decided to look into a tracker for my car. I had contacted several companies for advice and quickly found I was struggling to have my questions answered over the reliability of the network. Gary went far out of his way to answer my questions, and also send me reading material so I could make the right decision. The tracker was super easy to fit and has far exceeded my expectations in terms of accuracy, ease of use and value for money. I had some questions regarding the geofence and again, Gary accessed the tracker remotely and helped set up the geofence around my home and place of work. 10/10 service and I can’t recommend them enough.

Works ok, but push notification are very slow
The unit is very small, allowing it to be tucked away easily. However the wires from it are very short, so unless you intend to install it across the battery (easily found) they will need extending. Luckily I have a soldering iron, shrink tube and wire. I also added a black braided cover over the wires, so it looks like part of the original car loom, which makes finding it more difficult. It does not come with any terminations for the wires or a Tap Fuse. (A tap fuse is an easy way to take a feed from an existing fuse in the fuse box), you will need two, if using this method, one for permanent live and another for switched live. It does not come with any mounting hardware either, not even any double sided tape.Modern car wiring looms are very tight, with hardly any slack, so it take a bit of thought, where to get a feed from the constant & switched live & how to make the wiring look original. The unit needs to be mounted flat, facing the sky, so again thought is required as to where to mount the unit and how to secure it in place. Most car thefts are now from organised gangs. They know how to steal the vehicle, where & how the factory fitted alarm & trackers are. Recovered vehicles often have their interior ripped out, this is the thieves looking for the tracker, so the better hidden & disguised it is, the better. There is a small internal battery, so the unit will still report if the battery is disconnected. How long the battery will last, I do not know. There is no easy way to test this, unless you have easy access to the constant live feed & can disconnect it before going on a run. Alas there is also no maintenance function, allowing battery discharge, to ensure the battery is still functioning in years to come. The unit reports a heartbeat every six hours, one needs to log into the app to see this. It also reports battery voltage, GPS & cellular signal strength. Mine always shows full GPS signal, but the log reports 'poor GPS fix', when parked in a sheltered position.Unfortunately, there is no way to request a status update from the device, so unless the vehicle is moving, one has to wait six hours. It is best to wire with both constant and switched (ignition) live. This way the unit will log engine start & idling time. However it will work fine with just a constant live. The device has a built in accelerometer, so knows when it is moving, at which time it starts to report & send a push notification. The app & web interface are both very comprehensive. One can setup an area around the vehicle, for it's home location & if it moves outside this area, a push notification will be sent. There can be multiple areas, so they could be set up for home, work etc.Other options include 'exiting an area' (as described above), entering an area, unauthorised area. Again you can set up multiple areas for each types. One can also set up a low battery notification.A push notification will be sent to one phone each time one of the above conditions is met.The problem here, is the push notification is quiet & the same sound as every other push notification, so unless one checks the phone, one does not know if it is the tracker, or some rubbish push from Ebay etc. There is no remote, or other way to arm/disarm the tracker, so you will get the push notifications all the time. this is good in that it gives confidence that the system works, but can be annoying. The reports, via the app or web, will give engine start, idling, excessive speed, braking or acceleration and also a map of the journey. The unit and app seem more aimed at the corporate user who wants a spy in the company vehicle and generate reports of the driving journey & habits, rather than an anti-theft device. As said, the push notifications are indistinguishable from other pushes and the unit cannot be armed or disarmed. The push notifications seem very slow to be sent, even when in known good cellular coverage area (I don't know which carrier the device uses) so there is little chance to get a push when the vehicle is being stolen and get out in time with a baseball bat. There is one additional input and out to the device, but these are not implemented, so one cannot for example, rig a large detonation below the drivers seat and activate it via the app, should the vehicle be stolen.Whilst the log is comprehensive, it does throw up some anomalies. For example, I sometimes see an 'ignition off' when starting the vehicle and also a 'low battery'. This is just bad software. When cranking the engine, of course power is lost to some of the switched live feeds, also the battery voltage will drop whilst cranking. It needs a timer in the software so ignition off or low battery needs to be constant for 10 seconds, before it will report. The device itself is a generic unit, which individual operating companies can then adapt the open-source software and market their system. You will see the same physical device sold by different tracking operators. Whether it is possible to do an over-the air software update, I don't know, it does have a USB on the side of it, presumably for programming. So in summary, it is a relatively cheap way to have an anti-theft tracker, but it has it's limitations for immediate theft notification.

Tracker
Quite small, which is good, a few more wires than anticipated. Service very good speed of delivery fast.Although a few more wires, I decided to have it installed by their technician who has been booked for a future date.Service from this company is first class, all information and help is given to assist, the best possible out come for use of the tracker. The price is reasonably cheap to buy, with a monthly, six months, a year and so on price to track your item of installation.Once logged on to site you can view at any time where your item is being tracked. There is also an app download for your phone.

Works but not the way it was described
It doesn't work below 12V. You need to pay for topup on monthly basis but what exactly are you topping up? I guess it's for the mobile data. The SIM is only 150MB of data per month. I put a different SIM card and it worked well for two weeks. Then it stopped showing the movements despite showing the device as live. It prompted me to pay a monthly fee bit it was not clearly explained that it was for. Communication? I have data. Access? I have access. Anyway, it stopped working after 2 weeks.
