Seems to be identical to the CPlay2Air adapter, a good one
This seems identical in firmware, screens, size, and process to the CPlay2Air adapter I have had in another vehicle for over a year. Put this in my other vehicle. Very good wireless Carplay adapter requiring no client-side extra software or apps to work.Every now and then you might see a drop out or a reconnect that isn't perfect but it seems a rarity. The unit for the most part operates perfectly. Firmware is updated regularly.I would also like to see this device with a longer cord so it could be tucked out of the way instead of dangling and flopping around the front of the radio. A little double sided tape would be great or a new design without a cord and an L-shaped inconspicuous case, something in concept to this https://www.amazon.com/USB-Male-Female-Extension-Adapter/dp/B07QYS3FD8/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=right+angle+flash+drive&qid=1627779604&s=electronics&sr=1-1

Love this!
I was so jealous of my husband‘s truck that had wireless Apple play and mine had to be plugged in. This little device makes my car now wireless and works great. Word of advice, make sure you disconnect your phone from the Bluetooth in your car first. If you leave it connected that way and then connect to this device they’re constantly fighting for which one the calls and the text are going to come into. Once I figured that out it worked perfectly.

Great
Great. I have an aftermarket Kenwood touch screen head unit installed in my truck. I didn’t think it would work since this was specified for factory units. But this thing works. No cords and quick connect. Plug and play. It takes about 5-10 seconds to connect once I start the car, but it works. It even connects after I start driving.

Works perfectly
Unit works perfectly. There is a delay compared to a direct connection but it is only a few seconds. The only suggestions I would have is to have a couple more inches to the cord and to supply a way to attach it to a surface like double sided tape so it doesn’t just hang free. I would recommend this item

Honest review
Vehicle: 2016 Cadillac ATSI have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I plugged it in to my USB port connected to it thru wifi and did about three updates before it said it was up to date. Then connected to it thru Bluetooth and bang! carplay with no wires!I been using the unit for over a month and I had two times were it would not connect, and both of those times it was like a whole day without music or navigation. Now I noticed that both times this happened I had to go outside of the car while the unit was already connected. The range is very weak by the time you get to the trunk it has lost connection. Now I do have it plugged in to a hidden USB port inside the dash, but still. Then when getting back in the car that's when I had issues with it connecting again.Other than that is great, I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket and I got full carplay.I had no issues with making and receiving phone calls, no issues with navigation or apple music.Start up takes about 15 seconds. I'm happy with the purchase my car now has a feature that it was never designed to have. Also I live in the southwest and I had no issues with the heat impacting the unit.

Worked Great…. Until it didn’t…..
Just as the description says, it worked great until it didn’t. It worked fine for about 2 weeks, then started not responding and getting stuck in a startup loop. I would have to unplug for a few minutes, then it would reset itself. Except that now the startup sequence would show Chinese. The product did not come w/any tech literature or directions for firmware updates. I returned it to Amazon w/o any issue.
