This item is comfortable as a couch or a bed. It came well packaged. All peices were in beautiful shape. It was easy enough to put together, but the hex key provided might have had a wobble end to more easily tightened the bolts in the tight area. It arrived well protected in its packaging. One of the slats was stapled to the others backwards, but we were able to fix it. Otherwise it went together well and looks nice in the room. The mattress is very comfortable and will be a great addition for guests.

This is a very substantial futon with a nice big leather cushion. It is very comfortable and looks great. It slides easily into an upright or flat position with only one person moving it. It took me about 3 hours to assemble it by myself (two people would be able to assemble it MUCH faster.) It came with one of those little allen wrenches, and I would recommend a ratcheting screwdriver with a matching allen head to speed assembly dramatically. I think the directions could have been clearer. It took me awhile to figure out how to assemble the bottom slats and to see how they fit over the frame, but then I am not the best at these things. I would definitely recommend this futon. It came in three boxes and all arrived together in the time expected.

It’s a decent futon for what it is but the way it sits up is not that comfortable and it’s not really very comfortable to lay on. It’s an inner spring mattress which is not good for long-term use and not really good for comfort either. Had I had an option to choose a different product I probably would’ve.

We assembled this in about 2 hours so not as bad as some said it may be. After we laid out the first piece and had it right the rest flew right through. The only disappointment is the zipper on the mattress. It came apart at the top corner when we lifted it out of the packaging and onto the frame. Not sure we can fix it. May need a new cover

All parts were included, instructions were clear, and assembly was relatively easy for two adults. The product itself is quite attractive, and the mattress is sturdy and looks really nice. We bought this for a loft at our cabin, and it seems to be perfect for that purpose!

We've had it for a month so far with limited complaints! It's comfy enough for a futon. It is incredibly easy to unfold, but setting it back up as a couch has proven kind of difficult - it's very heavy.

Not too hard to build. Very strong construction. Comfortable to sleep on and sit on.Comes in three boxes. Futon was vacuum packed, couldn't believe it fit in the box.Expanded nicely and kept its shape. Great purchase
