Binky Takes Charge (Binky Adventure, A, 4)

Great book series for young readers. Child (8 yo) can read independently, and is excited to do so. The story lines of the series are fun and the pictures are funny, making the child want to continue reading to find out what happens next. Have had the series for a bit now, and the child still likes to go back and visit these books for a great read and nice giggle. They are excited and hoping for more books to come out dealing with this story line. Definitely recommend.

Very clever concept. My daughter loved reading this and was entertained. Excellent book for a reluctant reader!

So cute I stocked this at Amazon and had to have it for myself (I'm 27). The art is beautiful and the humor is good for adults and kids.

Got this and the other books in the series for my niece who recently turned 6. She loves them. Her mom reads them to her and she reads them as well. They are a little bit longer than most books for the age group, but the story and drawings are terrific and keep her interested.

This is a great series for young readers with its funny story lines and cute artwork. Struggling readers can also enjoy it as the words are not too difficult and the drawings are helpful in telling the story and giving them clues. This is a series that kids will come back to and read over and over, giggling at Binky’s adventures. Be prepared, because once they read one, they will want the whole series!

I haven't read any of the earlier adventures, but I had no trouble following the action. It also meant that I got to be surprised when the central conceit was revealed at the end.Ashley Spires' illustrations are quite charming and add to the humor of the story. But there's a nice lesson too, about accepting people who are different from you and who might have different strengths. And it's definitely not too preachy when delivered through the antics of a couple of Space Cats and a Space Cadet puppy.BINKY TAKES CHARGE is a good choice for young readers (or young listeners) who like animals - which is almost every kid I know. Fans of this series might also enjoy CHI'S SWEET HOME and FLUFFY FLUFFY CINNAMONROLL.

My kids have the whole series. It is perfect for all ages. If you like cats, this is a must have :o)
