Oreck XL Upright vacuum Cleaner Handle Brace Repair Kit

The hardest part was to get it out of the three bags it came in -- one inside another. But seriously, this handle reinforcement brace is fantastic. I've used the vacuum only twice since I put on the brace, but it looks like it's going to to last forever. It is very thick, considering its size and is therefore very strong. In fact, I'd recommend that you buy one and install before your handle even needs it. That way, there would be no breakage and the full strength of the handle would be maintained. And for a few dollars, it would be well worth it.

Fit perfectly, looks great. No more worrying that the handle is going to snap off, and we didn't have to buy a new vacuum.

The connection bracket worked fine, but the handle did not fit my model 2400 xl. Probably works for the 2600 xl. I took a chance that it might work. Can modify the tube to make it work if the connection bracket fails to hold up with time.

This brace is made from steel and is fairly thick. It was easy to install with a new aluminum handle. Time will tell if it lasts. It should.

Didn't have connector for broken handle. Returned purchase.

I used a locking nut and a bolt with the screw otherwise it would have come put the other side of my vacuum handle.

I was looking for new handle. I couldn't find. The best and simple solution I found in this part. It is good strong and working perfect. It took hardly few minutes ti install.

Screws are too long and the screws for the stem originally are too small to reach the holes with the added thickness of this brace. :-(
