I ordered these magnets to use in the classroom for an activity. One of the magnets began chipping and about an 8th of it chipped off. I used these with older students and they are careful, but I would be wary to use these with younger students.

Loved the strength of these magnets. Wish they were not so brittle, but that is nothing new with ceramic magnets....I used these magnets in a couple of science camp projects with a group of young students age 6-10. We constructed magnet levitators using these magnets, a pencil and a block of wood, four magnets to a student. We also scratch built simple electric motors using safety pins, copper wire, a D dry cell and these magnets. Worked great!!!! Kids really enjoyed these projects

These magnets are even stronger than I thought they would be. They are a great price and will suit my needs very well. Great purchase !! Would definately buy again

These Magnets break. I had several break the first time my students used them. It is a one and done situation in which you can only use the entire set one time. This is the second year I bought these for the same lesson and both times these magnets broke easily.

Some of these did chip some but I was using them as a way to investigate magnets in the classroom. If you put two on a pencil you can clearly see how they connect or repel. Worked perfectly!
