Reluctantly Home

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are totally believable, the story line is one I can relate to. Slightly more than "real life" but very believable. Who wants just real life?

I liked the way she connects the internal worlds of the two main characters with what they do. A page turning yarn with a light touch. Couldn't put it down. Well done

Imogen Clark is an excellent writer, really enjoyed this book and have since bought more from this writer.

Loved this book as you really felt you knew the characters, just brought another book from this author and l know it's going to be a good read.

I read to escape busyness and need good characters and stories that draw me in. Reluctantly home was perfect for me.

I enjoyed this story about two women who both have experienced loss & trauma. Pip returns to her childhood home and discovers a diary which leads her to its owner, Evelyn. The two women become friends and share their experiences

So often I start a book and it takes ages to get into it or lots of pages are filled with mundane sentences. .....But not this one Reluctantly Home grabs you from the word go and keeps you there throughout. Pip has had a life changing tragedy and returns home to try and recover her self belief, along the way she comes into contact with a diary. A very revealing diary which is so compelling she has to find out more. This is the second book I have read of Imogen Clark, I look forward to reading more.

I very much enjoyed reading this book. Made we wonder what it must be like to have the rug pulled out from under you and have to rebuild your confidence and your life. It was good that Imogen chose two completely different types of Career women and their circumstances to give a true perspective on life-changing events. This is the first book I have read but look forward to reading more from the writer.
