BEWARE Not a smooth flow certain surfaces
I had such high hopes for these markers based on the reviews. But, in my opinion, they are a huge disappointment. I’m using them on chalk-paint primed, smooth wood surfaces, the flow is, by no means, a smooth, constant flow like other paint pens I’ve used. I needed to prime them constantly after only a few strokes. Then, priming them on paper would render a huge blotch of wasted paint. Twice now I have gone to use a colour and upon bringing the marker top close to my work, a huge droplet would fall right onto it. And these are oil paints so there is little to no forgiveness if there are any spills. The product photos showing examples of detailed artwork would be impossible with these markers - which is very misleading. As well, the marker tip is a lot thicker than what they are shown to bed. The tip is actually round, definitely not a tip used for detail.I followed the directions to a “T,” - they are no different from other paint pen directions that actually work. It’s kind of hard to screw up three steps so, beyond that, the issue is the markers.I have used other paint pens/markers on the same surface and this was never an issue. They’d be perfect for enhancing the lettering on your tires like in the one product photo but outside of that, I absolutely would NOT trust these markers for any kind of intricate or detailed work. And if your artwork is almost entirely reliant on a quality paint marker then take my advice and do not go down this road.Unfortunately, I didn’t open this box until my last pack of paint markers (different brand) ran out and my window for a refund has surpassed so I’m stuck with these now. Maybe I’ll give them to my husband to use on some projects in his garage, it’s about all they are good for.The photos I’ve included show the aftermath of a huge drop of red paint that fell onto the board as I was about to start colouring. I tried to soak up the excess with a rag. The only way I can fix this mess is to colour over the drops with black marker. The second photo is the result of what happened each time I had to prime the marker to get paint back into the tip. The paint just pours out. And that’s what comes out from ONE depression.

Fat tips, great colours.
Dislike tip size, like using fat kids markers. Difficult to do any fine detail. Love the great colours. Stood up well when used on clean mugs, dry 24hrs and bake at 250 for 2hrs.

Best Rock Painting Pens
I’ve tried all of the brands of acrylic paint pens including the most expensive to cheapest. Of all the pens this one flows the best & has the best consistency. I paint rocks to hide & bring some fun to kids of all ages. These pens are the best value & best markers on the market.

Great markers!
These are great substitutions for Gundam markers for doing fine scale, small-area colour-specific accents. Whereas the official markers will cost about $8 each (and you can see how little you actually need to use per colour) vs. The cost of an entire pack of these… they 28-pk wins hands down!Great control, ease of flow, etc. and nice tips. Fine application. Can’t say enough good things about these. I wish I had bought a bigger, more varied pack right from the start.

Working well for my purpose
I bought these oil-based markers to colour the numbers on my bumper plates, and they have worked out quite well. The paint adheres well and doesn't look like it will be coming off any time soon. I needed two coats (which I did a day apart to allow for full drying time) of each to make the colours smooth and not slightly blotchy. If I had one complaint, it's that the pens are inconsistent one to the other; one will flow fairly freely, and the next will need to be primed every couple of strokes. One in particular, gold, when primed would just flood paint out, and I believe it's because the top part of the marker wasn't screwed on tightly (they are easy to loosen if you are twisting off the cap and turn counterclockwise).Cap colours aren't particularly accurate to what's inside, so make sure to test first before assuming the colour is what you're hoping it's going to be.
