We make pizza with our large iron pan. At 400F coming out of the oven I use a mitt and this silicone handle holder to avoid getting burned.

These red silicon handle covers fit the Lodge cast iron Dutch oven handles perfectly. They look good -- not that that matters much. They do not resist heat for very long; but they do give you enough time to get the pot out of the oven, or remove the lid safely. If, for some reason, you were carrying a blazing hot dutch over any distance, you would need more serious protection. My only gripe is that I think they are a bit over-priced.

Cast iron handles get hot and these are your solution. It only takes once and you'll see the need. Was also looking for frying pan handles

These hand grips fit all sizes of my cast iron. They don't fit snug on my small pans or the large pans but it works for grabbing the u shape handles on cast iron.

Works as promised, but when heated over 500 degrees, I strongly suggest using a mitt or glove for safety. When i place this on an open flame wood burning grill I super heat the pan. It sears ribeye's and filet mignon's to perfection. When you remove after cooking (my recommendation is that you don't leave it on the grill as it will make it harder to clean) you want to use the silicone handles and an oven mitt or glove of some sort.

Runs too large for 12 skillet.

A absolute must for anyone who owns a lodge cast iron frying pan, fits perfectly and easy clean up.

These have been extremely helpful for handling a hot skillet. They practically don't transfer any heat through. Be aware, though, that if you leave it on the pan during cooking, it will take on a lot of heat from the stove, especially if you're using multiple burners. I'd recommend that you put it on when you need it to handle the pan or skillet and remove it while on the burner. It doesn't fit very snugly, so it's easy to put on and remove as needed.
