Well designed, sturdy
Assembly wasn't hard but as other reported, the bag of hardware had come open during shipment and loose nuts/bolts were present. Luckily all we there. Product well wrapped in bubble wrap. Instructions ok, but never define which if 4 ir 5 bolt sizes arr to be used. I sorted them out making it easier to know whuch went where. The handle assembly is not high enough to clear the tool box mounted on the back of my ATV, so mounted is in an abnormal orientation. Will need a rope between the handle and the ATV's grab rail to be able to raise the tines from the seat. Will add some weight to the tine sections as I get into more rugged terrain.Overall happy with the quality.

Nice, but could use improvements
First off, it is not fun to assemble. The instructions leave a little to be desired, but anyone with basic mechanical aptitude can figure it out. I was missing one “wheel axle” which is nothing more than a steel shaft with a couple of holes drilled. I made another on my lathe and the seller refunded me $93 to source one locally since they were out of stock. I’m going to make a couple of mods to this that it needs. First off, going to make new wheel axles with grease grooves and zerk fittings so that the wheels can be properly greased. The lift pivot points are just bolts that you can’t over tighten, but if you leave loose enough to free fall like it should, the nuts will eventually work their way off. Going to turn down some basic pins for this instead. Lastly, going to make some bolt on steel weights to keep the tines down on the ground. It does a great job of raking pine straw on level ground, but hills and dips cause it to lose the load, weights will solve this. Do not assemble the handle until you have it connected to the hitch of whatever you will be towing it with, as you will more than likely do quite a bit of adjusting to make it fit your lawnmower or ATV. Overall satisfied with the product and beats the heck out of a manual rake. I’m very impressed with how it rakes pine straw, not so much with thatch. I cannot say how well it does with leaves yet, but have a feeling I’m going to need to wrap a truck bed cargo net to the tines to keep the leaves from falling through the cracks.

Pine straw tow behind rake works OK, but parts were missing
When my Pine Straw Rake was delivered the box was broken. The delivery driver reported that several parts (nuts and bolts) had fallen from the box and were found by him on the floor of his delivery truck. He returned 1 nut and 1 bolt to me. The box was badly damaged. Non-the-less I inventoried the parts and concluded that only nuts and bolts were missing and that it would be quicker and easier to replace them at the local hardware store rather than return the rake. I spent about $20 on replacement nuts and bolts. Once assembled the rake worked "OK" but not great. I wired a metal basket on top of the rake into which I placed bricks as without the additional weight the rake bounced over uneven ground and missed picking up pine straw and cones. This additional weight kept the rake from bouncing and greatly improved its effectiveness. Now it works "good" but not "great," but still better than hand raking about 1/3 acre by hand. I would recommend it if you are handy at assembly and "McGivering" a fix to make it work better. LOTS of nuts and bolts to put together. Directions are minimal at best. LOTS to figure out on your own. Don't buy if you are not DIY oriented. "LOTS of Assembly Required."

Save your time and money, but mostly your time.
1- the instructions on how to put this thing together are awful. There are a ton of different parts and different sized bolts and nuts. They do not come labeled. On top of that, the entire instructions contain 3 pictures. I don't know how you would put this together without 2 people. I could have cleaned my yard by hand twice in the time it took me to put this together.2- This does not rake up anything at all. Not leaves, sticks, branches, or limbs. It's infuriating... all of that work to put it together, not to mention the money spent. It simply does not work.3- It might be good at tearing up dirt before planting grass... maybe.

Great piece of equipment
Works very good only issue I have is that if you are trying to rake up sticks needs a little more weight to keep it down so they don't roll out. Heavy duty not cheaply made.

heavy duty
I have not taken this unit to my property yet, but this seems like a good 4 wheeler solution instead of expensive 3 point hitch on a tractor.

don't count on customer service
Upon beginning the assembly the first part i needed was missing. A small piece of steel with four holes. I checked the box to see if i missed it and double checked the parts i had laid out. When i called i was told i had to count all the other parts to make sure nothing else was missing. According to the instructions there are 146 parts. I'm not going to do the job of their quality control staff, i can make the part myself or just weld it together. The rake itself is a quality product that i used to by from a company in Georgia and i has sold dozens of them. Too bad the current provider of these does not have the customer service attributes of my former supplier. The rake arrived sooner than expected and the box was for the most part intact. If you purchase one the fist thing you should do is check off all the parts and keep an eye out for part # 25. Good luck.

Works for pine straw.
Instructions not very clear. Need additional weight for it to work well. Wish it was adjustable to be angled left or right to make rows to pick up. Handle if long enough to use to lift then hits the tractor seat. It’s solidly built. Packaged well and all parts were there and not one extra bolt washer or nut.

build quality
Most of rake is built well except for the flimsy poorly designed lift handle. Assembly instructions number items in picture but not acutual item, nor is size of bolt/nut mentioned
