Absolutely love this purse. I am so picky about my hand bags. So much so that I will carry a bag that I hate until I find something perfect to purchase. I bought the matching wallet too! Love them! But as I stated in the wallet review: if you are bothered by rustic or worn looks this may not be a good purchase for you. I love and recommend this handbag.

Absolutely love this Frye bag. Purchased in Cognac color on sale. Color is beautiful. Scuffs easily. I would recommend applying leather conditioner immediately to hydrate and protect leather before use. Shipping was fast. This is my fourth Frye bag. Highly recommend Frye brand.

Cute, roomy, need to take care of leather but so worth it

The media could not be loaded. Finally third time of ordering this Frye Melissa zippered satchel .Over two and n a half year time frame. This one I will be keeping. Real leather factory wrapped. No scratches. Looks just like the one in the store. First two I ordered looked like shiney cheap leather not properly wrapped. Had scrathes. Only complaint is the dust/ storage bag is not big enough to cover the entire satchel. For this kind of money we deserve a storage bag that fits the entire purse. Without having to smuch the satchel to get it in. I will be contacting the seller. I love the size of this purse. It can fit my 13 in tablet my fry wallet and all of my other things I carry. Plus more. I love that it comes with a strap so I can carry it cross body style. I'm very very pleased with this purse. I've dreamed of owning this purse since they came out several years ago. And I got it on sale which allowed for me to order the wallet. So now I have both the satchel and wallet.

I researched for a long time - read a gazillion reviews. Yet didn't realize until deciding to keep it - on first full day of use - that there is no outer pocket to slip my phone in for easy access. How could I have missed this detail, or underestimated the convenience of such a thing?! Also, I will definitely have to replace the shoulder strap with something wider - the <1" strap that came with it caused shoulder pain by the end of the day. The short straps aren't really long enough to keep the bag on my shoulder - maybe because I'm tall and not a beanpole 🤷🏻‍♀️ otherwise, it's a beautiful and sturdy bag and it serves the purpose for which it was bought.

GORGEOUSIf you are a Frye fan and like a rugged, distressed bag and don't need a lot of compartments, you will like this bag. I lusted over this bag in Ice for years after spotting a lady carrying one through the airport. I have several pairs of Frye boots, but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to pay the cost on this bag. Finally did it a few months ago.I. Love. It. The color is gorgeous, and it's getting 'beaten up' nicely. There are no pockets other than the ones on the wall of the satchel, they are fairy flat and small slide-in style with one larger zip pocket. I don't carry a lot of small, loose stuff in my bag, so it works. If you're someone who does, or wants things very organized, you'll probably hate it.The quality is, of course, excellent. Thick, heavy, beautiful leather that feels and smells amazing. Good gusseting, so that the bag retains its shape when you set it down. Roomy interior, well made adjustable and removable strap. Handles will fall flat to the purse if using the strap.This bag will last for a decade or more if you take care of it, and it'll look great doing it. If this is your style, don't hesitate to invest in one of these bags.

Sturdy and well- sown but very stiff. Of course this is meant to last and will soften down with time and use but for now it feels boxy under my arm and I don't use it as much as I thought I would.
