Fisher-Price Elmo Live Encore

I bought Elmo live as a gift for my nephew on his first birthday. Though he is just an year old, he still has a lot of interest in this toy. He especially loves it when Elmo laughs and tries to imitate some of its actions. Its fun to see him playing with Elmo.. He still does not interact much with Elmo, but he just loves the sight of it blabbering. Most importantly, as any one year old he does push around the toy and it falls down many times a day and now its been 6 months he has been doing so and the toy is INTACT and FUNCTIONAL!! and one advice, dont forget to buy/gift rechargeable battery with this one as the batteries die very fast. It plays for no more that 5-6 hours on a duracell battery.

I bought the Elmo Live Encore when it was on sale last week here at Amazon. We received Elmo today and I must say that he really does move around pretty well. You'd never mistake him for a live action version, but it's pretty darned good, if I do say so. So far, my 23 month old son really likes this toy. He was playing with it before I even got it all the way out of the box (which required a master's degree and hands-on technical training, but I digress).Once we got it out and started it up, he had quite a time with it. He loves just watching Elmo talk and move around, although I don't know how much he understands. I don't really think it's a terribly educational toy, but that's not why I bought it. At any rate, Elmo has been on the coffee table, and then he took a trip to the kitchen table, and then to the kitchen itself. Elmo was an honored guest who got to watch dinner being cooked tonight. My son also wanted to take Elmo to dinner with him, but I explained that Elmo was entitled to his own dinner break and couldn't play right then.My only _real_ issue so far is that Elmo yells. Hasn't he heard of inside voices? Thankfully, it's not so loud that it would damage hearing, but you definitely couldn't take him to church or to the library with you. Minor nit-picky stuff: I'm already getting kind of tired of the stories about Big Bird's birthday and the Three Little Pigs. But, I guess, that's not so bad since my kid makes me read "Silly Sally" over and over and I've gotten used to repetition to an extent. Oh, and the little chair. I wish it were bigger (not that my son actually lets Elmo sit down or anything).All in all, loads of fun so far and overall worth the purchase.

This has to be the cutest Elmo yet!! It was fun and interactive....... I purchased for my grandson's first birthday - I think that he will probably enjoy it more as he gets a little older but his 7 yr old brother was just in stitches as were his Mom and Dad - I would definately recommend this toy - well worth the price!

My daughter is just getting into Elmo and saw this at the store and didn't want to leave it there. So we purchased it from Amazon for Christmas. She played with it all day. However, she can be a little afraid of it at times when it turns on without any warning. She loves Elmo and I know she'll grow out of this "Elmo scary" phase. It's a cute toy with many features. Even after playing with it for a month we found new things it would say or do.

I have not yet given this toy to my two year old son, he will be getting it for Christmas. However, he absolutely loves Elmo and this toy really does sound like the Elmo that is on the shows that he watches. My wife was playing around with it to make sure it all worked, and I can tell you right now that my son is going to LOVE this toy. It is a great interactive toy that has a lot of 'energy.' Everything on this toy moves. I think that it was a great buy and the price wasn't all that bad either. I was glad that I was able to find the Elmo Live on here seeing as we have looked everywhere else for it. I would definitely suggest this to anyone with kids.

My two year old twins (and I) loooved this toy. However, after 2 months we had to return it. Even after replacing the batteries, Elmo stopped working. He would stop singing his songs half way through and freeze. Amazon was great and replaced it right away... but again, Elmo started freezing after another 2 months or so of use. (My kids played with this on and off, so I wouldn't say it was over used during this time.) We're now getting a refund from Amazon (thank you!) but am so dissapointed because it is a great toy, when it works.

We purchased this for our 20 month old granddaughter. She loves it! The speech is a little hard to decipher, but the animation and overall performance is great. Don't know about durability yet.

This toy was purchased for my niece's second birthday. Like any todler--ELmo is her best bud. She specially loves the music and has learned to dance to Elmo's tunes. My niece takes him in the car (quiet time for the parents); reads books to him (practices good habit) and is learning new words from Elmo every day. This toy is WORTH every penny for the pure joy, laugher and happyness it's brought into her world and ours.
