Fast Lane Cyclone AX10 - Super Charged, Black (AD17271)

It great entry level RC car. Actually better than I expected. Big bumper, nice tires, structure enforced chassis etc are better than some of my pricier RC cars. Battery life is around 10min for me but larger battery compartment can fit larger battery. I use the commonly body pin for battery door so I do not need screw. Tire, ESC, servo and receiver are upgradable. The issue I think is that its lacking the parts so I buy another one myself just in case.

I bought one, ran it for 10 minutes and then bought 3 more. I have a brushless hbx (hobby grade,smaller, but really fast), I am thrilled with this cyclone truck because it’s a fraction of the cost, bigger and seems to handle bashing better. If I somersault my hbx, I’m cringing, worried what might break. I flipped this thing so many times , i didn’t worry at all because it was so cheap and honestly, this thing is tough. I gave one to our neighbor kids so they stop asking me to use my good one, I will keep the extras just in case. Thoroughly happy with this sub-fort-y purchase. It’s a fun truck. Also looks like some traxxis and arma parts may fit this too.Update 6-2022- had this (1st) one for a few weeks now, I just went to plug the charger in to connect to the battery and it started squealing and smoking. The charger was connected to a 5v outlet, as it states to use, and was not connected to the battery. This is super dangerous, like fire in your house dangerous. Be warned!

One of the worst RC's ever !!! (Fast Lane Cyclone AX10 Cyclone) 1st run 8 - 10 minutes, checked car and battery was hotter than hell, motor was hot as well. let cool down for 20 minutes, ran again, 3 minutes and throttle shut down and was hot again. Battery was so hot I put it in a glass of cold water to cool down. Should not be sold because of the electronic heating up so bad. The 2 in 1 ESC/Receiver is not handling the included 7.4v battery power and dies. Not worth repackaging to send back. Shame, it is a nice size and nice looking vehicle. BUT !!!!!! Photos are of the culprit. Don't think getting a replacement will help. SAD.

It's fast, fun, affordable, and heavily customizable. It has one fatal flaw, however. That flaw being the fact that mine caught on fire after a day of usage. I thoroughly enjoyed it while it lasted, but it didn't last me a very long time. I will be replacing the ESC and motor, but if ypu aren't willing to do that, do NOT buy it.

It was fast, it was fun, then the battery started smoking.I bought a new battery, then it started driving on its own and eventually the motor stopped.It looks like the motor control circuitry can't handle the power. There were also several loose screws.In total we were able to play with it for about an 1-1/2 hours.

I'm just lost for words. This Fast Lane Cyclone AX10 is so impressive that it's hard pressed to call it a Toy-Grade RC. It's borderline Hobby-Grade. The quality and looks are top notch. This is by far the most impressive Toy-Grade RC ever made.It's a true 1-10 Scale (same size as Arrma Granite, Traxxas Hoss, Redcat Volcano, Kyosho Madvan ect)Here is the most amazing thing about this AX10. It can actually outperform some hobby grades!! How Crazy is that!? The day has come where high end Toy Grades such as this AX10 is competing and even beating low end hobby grades.I've been into RCs for 25 years (since I was a small child) and I've had tons of Toy-Grades and Hobby Grades. This AX10 still impressed me. Wow!For the money, I highly recommend this RC. It's plenty fast for new drivers (young or older). It's 4 wheel drive, has 12mm hex bolts, so you can upgrade the tires/wheels as I did (Traxxas Stampede), it's got metal axles and a HUGE brushed motor!10/10 Fast Lane RCs!

There is a heat problem and there are no cooling fans. If you run it on a paved surface and at high speeds you can get enough air flow to keep it cool. It's the puttering around in the grass that gets it so hot it burns up. The 2000 mah battery will last you 10-15 on high speed and 15-20 minutes on low speed. You must keep the air flowing through it, don't putter around. Acts like a two cycle gas engine, needs air flow to keep it cool. Keep it cool and it's certainly worth $19.07 I paid to get it to my front door. $99 ..... That a whole nother conversation 🙂
