Nice pair of unfinished scales
I am very satisfied with my pair of walnut scales. Fit and surface prep were spot on and came ready for finishing. As expected, a couple hand rubbed applications of good linseed with 3x steel wool between and these scales are gorgeous.I'd happily order another pair from this maker when I need them.

UPDATE: Perfect grips and look good!!!
I bought these grips to replace the stock grips on my Tanfoglio Witness 1911 Pistol replica, also purchased on Amazon. It's a C02 pistol. Unfortunately, the grips aren't grooved in a particular way to accommodate the bump-out for the C02 cartridge. So the grip doesn't lay flat. I either return the grips or try to sand or chip out this area so the grips will lay flat but I'm nervous to do this because if I get it wrong, I'm out $20. Just a heads up if your buying these for a Replica C02 1911 that has bump-outs for C02. Outside of that, they look really good.UPDATE 8/23: I used a dremel drill and sanded down the grooves in the grips so it would lay flat. I then used paste finishing wax to put the touches on. Looks good, feels good and buying another set for my son’s replica air soft 1911.

Great scales
As long as you know what you're getting these are perfect. They are unfinished, meaning you'll have to wet sand, stain then finish your grips. What you get is a one of a kind grips made just the way you want them.

Great grips. Fit and finish is rough.
These are nice and inexpensive full size 1911 grips. You will need to use some sandpaper to finish them as the edges are very rough and have burring. Once I have etched my design into them and hand finished them, they will still be much less expesnive than buying higher quality finished grips. The fit and finish could be a little bit cleaner but a great product overall.

Finish your own custom walnut 1911 grips!
Very nice item at a great price. Needs just a bit more sanding across the bottom edge, then it will be ready for a coat of oil.You can add initials, woodburning, or carving if you want, before finishing.

If you like DIY custom items it's worth it.
It fits great. Had to do some modifications for my ambidextrous safety but I was expecting to. About 2 hours to get it modified and painted. Fun project.I plan on buying another for something more custom.
