Review: Incredible - Do not cheap out on fans. Buy one of these. I've got a handful of cheap ebay fans in a pile in the garage and none come even remotely close to the cloudlines. You get what you pay for and these are an absolute testament to that. I've purchased 4 of the AC Infinity products now in varying sizes and every single product is a 10/10 including all the adapters/fittings they sell.
Review: Totally worth the money even thought I have used them 50% of the time I owned them - I've owned this for 4 years now and probably only used it for 2 of those years. I bought it alongside an S8 and they both worked in tandem to extract hot air from the top and side of a grow tent that basically housed 2 crypto mining machines. These worked perfectly and would turn on or ramp up when the temperature in the tent got too high thanks to the sensor. I could also control it remotely from work in the city. They have been sitting around for a good 2 years and I was planning to sell them this summer to make some cash because it seems like they hold their value. Mine are pretty much pristine still. However, with this heat wave, I have been using the S8 to help extract the warm, humid air out the window from my workshop garage when I go in there. And tonight, as I write this review, I am using the T8 to suck in cold air from outside in to my very hot computer room on this hot summers night. I'm basically writing to say that these are currently the best fans in my household at the moment. They are both basically making the environment habitable. If I had set these up probably with the ducting tubes, I would be in paradise. Great products.

**Q: Basement cigar room. 2 questions:  Can this be mounted in the ceiling between studs with a drop ceiling? and 2: how many 6" inlets should be installed**
A: I’m using this for exhaust in my cigar room, third floor and open hang from the ceiling in a window bay.  For my space, a straight line single inlet was adequate.  I added a noise suppression canister so that acts as my 8” inlet.

For your purposes, it’s just a matter of how much space you have between joists, and even more so, between the flooring above and the drop ceiling.  The fan itself will work fin in that environment if it fits physically.  

Depending on your space, you might be fine with a single 8” inlet (or whatever size matches your fan).  If you need an additional inlet, keep them in a straight line if at all possible and make the one farthest from the fan smaller.  So if you have an 8” fan, you’d step the duct down to 6”, then a 6” inlet at the end of that, step the duct down again to 4” and have a 4” inlet at the very end.

**Q: Do you have to use controller or just plug fan in on a switched circuit?**
A: When I plug into the outlet without the controller, the fan runs. Not sure if it is set to the max setting. In case your controller is broke or want it to run continuously.

**Q: I need to mount this outside to blow air into a small space. Can it tolerate getting rained on?**
A: Yes you can mount it outside. As long as you properly shield the unit from the elements this fan will work beautifully to bring the outside air in, which is precisely what I did.
I created a window mount by using flat pieces of plywood that I cut a hole through that's just large enough to fit the Infinity cloud line t8 through a double hung window (actually the slightest bit larger) that I filled in the gap with gaff tape for a solid gasket seal. To shield it from the rain and snow I built a roof that slopes at a 45 degree angle so that all the moister jets off the enclosure. I filled in the triangle on the side so that all the intake air comes from the bottom of the unit where I installed a screen to keep all the insects out. Finally to create a lasting seal I added silicon to all the joints including a piece of plexiglass that I attached  to the 45 degree slope roof so that it is set for decades of whatever the outdoor weather presents. I have been operating this fan with this method for about 2 years including during heavy rains for days on end. I have had zero problems, and you will too provided you follow my instructions as a guide. This is the best possible window fan that could ever be created and has the huge advantage of being able to employ a flexible duct to direct the flow of air wherever you want it. Highly recommended as long as you are slightly handy and creative.
