H. P. Lovecraft Tales of Horror

The book was perfect except for one minor thing, the Introduction paper was connected or welded into another page which I had to tear the sides to open. But nevertheless reached me liked the pictures

If you want this item don't order it from Chiron Media Ltd. - totally useless, this wasn't delivered and apparently it was 'lost in the post'. If you read their other reviews I'm not the first to hear this excuse and I won't be the last - not quite sure how you can 'lose' a large hardback book but apparently that's what happened......or was it just never sent............

This is a stunning edition! The black leather makes the design pop and the gold gilded edges finish it off. Really happy with this, I don't think I will ever read this edition but it sure does look beautiful on my shelf.

A fantastic book but disappointed with damage to back cover which arose before postage

Added pictures of the book with the others in the series i have also purchased on sales. The odd minor skuffing could have been avoided with better packaging. I keep buying these because the price is pretty decent, and so far I have 7 books of the Canterbury Classics, and all have arrived in what I would consider to be reasonably good condition for the price. Not mint. But very good shape. They're also a cheaper Chinese manufactured book too, but they're made decent. They definitely do not compare to an Easton Press or a Franklin Library, book, but they're decent when they're on sale. Paid 20 bucks. I won't pay the full price for these, they're just not worth it. For the price of 30-35 I can go buy a mint used, and better quality Easton Press book. I do enjoy these copies so far. Wish the paper was a bit thicker. And wish the ribbon bookmark didn't leave such a dent.

I don't know what I was expecting. I bought this book after talking with my boyfriend about a game that makes up a world like these stories, and I ended up digging up every related material I could find. Lovecraft has fantastic and detailed descriptions that keeps the stories interesting, but doesn't tell all so there's still a deep sense of mystery. Keeping things intense. Often lining up the dominos to trigger an intense end. The book itself is very nice too. Beautiful quality, nice hard cover, edged pages, a spine that doesn't bend under the weight. I'd like to buy more Canterbury Classics after this.
