Read one of her books about 30years ago and did not think too much of her but now I am reading from an initiate point of view and it is amazing.when the student is ready the master will appear.This is some of the "BEST" information of working with the forces of creation.Only if the student is ready he will be able to mine all the Gold he needs from Dion Fortune's "Experience" which is the key.Although I am not from a Western or Traditional Eastern practicioner point of view, I found her knowledge invaluable and answered some important questions I had and trying to figure out the answers through trial and success.This information is only applicable to the student who is ready and the forces are flowing through him or her 24/7. When I mean ready ,you must be ready this is not for dabblers or intellectuals. This was written, monthly, between 1939 and 1940. It is written for the outer court. It is an occult puzzle, all the pieces are present. This is Dion Fortune at her best. She gives nothing to the profane. Her intent was, if you really know, you'll find it. She even said that. She said, you'll read between the lines. Such as: the etheric double, triangle working with soul star system, exchanging magnetism, and a circuit between heaven and earth. Gareth Knight gives a commentary, with helpful history.

Gareth Knight has done the world a great favor by getting this book out. If you have ever wondered "How does magic work?" this book will show you. A complete novice, looking for some hand holding will possibly be put off a bit, but the serious practitioner or anyone who simply wants to know "how it all works" will do no better than to absorb this books content. This is the stuff once only taught by word of mouth inside the Lodges halls and bound by various oaths of secrecy etc. But I feel it is more than time for this material to see the light of day and their can be no better combination of teachers than Dion Fortune and Gareth Knight to bring it to the Light.

An excellent book that takes Dion Fortunes writings and couples them with wonderfully insightful commentaries by Gareth Knight. Together they present present great information on such topics as the etheric body and the astral light. In particular Knight's commentary on the astral light is outstanding and worth the price of the book alone. Highly recommended.
