Re-edit With Pictures, matches the Movie Clip
Total re-edit with pictures. I'm picking the nits so you won't have to. Totally great company and product, btw and I don't get anything for this.I do cosplay outfitting and purchased five sets of these from Amazon Fulfillment. This means the outer sleeves and presentation boxes may have been damaged. I thought I needed the glasses by singles so the rest wasn't as vital. Now the box has an outer white sleeve and the other is a lovely black and gold box with a hinge lid and inside the glasses are well nestled within dense gray foam. Lift a thin sheet and pull up one of the surrounding thicker cutout pieces to get the glasses out easily (there are two of these deep with the cutouts). Packaging in general is excellent, and the box for presentation is classy. I have offered an image of the outer sleeve to show that they are marked as made in China. And one of a glass liberated and sitting in/on the foam in the box they come in. A few others have green arrows to point out the bubbles or sleeks, I have one that is by no means the average quality or appearance, from sorting through ten of them. For the one with issues I also had one that was 'perfect' by contrast.Glasses are a nice size, with the heavy base, a nice feel. The flaring of the sides allows one to smell the rising vapors of the beverage and fits your face/mouth well to drink from. The shaping of the base allows for an easy firm grip of the glass. Very nice.I had issues with some had bubbles that were visible and deformed surface enough to catch the light at times, and one had a sleek-scratch from polishing (I've ground telescope mirrors and do stained glass, it was a scratch from incomplete cleaning of the item between steps and a bit of the larger grit from before remains behind.) And for some, along where the ridges begin where sides of glass meet this, one side could have some 'chips' which are casting defect, mold breaking down. Only on one side. Negligible to see when glass is full and being held. Some of the bubbles were more worrisome. Most are not really obvious and there might only be one per glass.I had five sets of two, and had to sort them as someone wanted eight glasses. The two worst ones, I kept and imaged. Most were not really noticeable, I just happen to be really looking these over. Out of 10 I had one that was 10/10, no visible sleeks, white marks, or bubbles. Eight had some sort of 'chipping' along where the side meets the ridges of the base on one side only. Looks like a molding issue. Only one was fairly visible looking in while it was empty. Three of those also had a light white mark that I will call a single piece of coarser grit got rubbed around and left a meandering line. Polish the glass well and you won't see it.The bracelet is a prop on my 15cm or 6" wrist, genuine article for the one movie scene, to show size. The fellow in the scene is putting on a larger size.I also included shots with Iced tea standing in for adult beverage, either two or three 1.5 oz shots, filling the glass to show how they look. Add a few chillers or cubes and you would have a fairly full glass.Top of glass from flared side to flared side, 3 3/4", corner to corner 4 3/8" and bottom 2 1/2" square. Height 3 1/2".Feel in hand10/10 Easy to grip, nice weight and orientation, comfortable to holdFeel to use (drink out of and aroma/vapors of drink)10/10. Presents the volatiles of your beverage well to your nose. And easy to put a lip to and drink from, the sides are fairly flat curved but just enough.Appearance 10/10Well stated and stylishClose up 8/10You may have to turn to look through a clear side and to put your lip to a clear side. Turning the bubble or whatever to the right if you are a rightie or to the left if you are a leftie--I found made me like my experience of using this more. It's a personal taste thing...Presentation 10/10The box is awesome and the sleeve generally protects it.I recommend as a gift. These look really exceptional with a darker beverage in them. They are easy to hang onto and a light nudge near the rim won't tip them over. For cosplay they are what the character Tony Stark pours his drink into as he BS's Loki and puts on the bracelets in The Avengers. If this isn't the brand that was used in the movie they look really close.I have used one of these glasses for a month drinking everything from water to adult beverage out of it, and I love how the glass feels in the hand and for those things that release vapors and volatiles, how it presents those aromas to my nose when I bring the glass to my lips. Despite my nitpicks, I love these glasses. Maketh the Man has a great product here. And from what I've heard, if there is an issue with what you get, contact them and they sort it out promptly with you.
