WENKO Hair Dryer And Straightener Holder, Milano, Steel, 21 X 11.5 X 12 cm, Chrome

this is an excellent product and extremely well built. I was concerned at first when looking at the pics that it may be a little flimsy given it uses a stainless steel coil design, but its robust, weighty and is perfect for storing the wifes straighteners and hairdryer!Fitting is easy, two supplied plugs and screws, with capping for aesthetic which is a great touch.I marked this down only 1 star due to the fact that the Mrs' GHD straighteners don't entirely fit in the hole. She has the larger plate ones, which I understand to be the most popular straightener, therefore would prefer this to have been able to accommodate. But its a minor point as clearly you cant cater for all types.

Someone knocked my old hairdryer onto the floor and broke the motor so I thought it was time to get a stand. This is perfect - big enough to hold it even if it has the nozzle on, and has space for my straighteners too (which I don't use often so usually ended up at the back of drawers, but this means they're always accessible. It was easy to screw into the side of a piece of furniture but it would also have gone into a wall without any trouble.

The item I received is definitely a genuine Wenko one and looks just like the images :-) I haven't fixed it up yet but I think it will probably be fine - although my short stubby, lightweight and ancient Philips Tresemme hairdryer is a bit loose in the holder. Might have to treat myself to a new hairdryer ;-) As you can see from my photo, it came on a Wenko card and it does have 2 screws, which you can't actually see in the images.There are no proper instructions on how to fix this to a wall! There are only a few tiny diagrams on the back of the card, which I struggled to see clearly :-/ And what those diagrams fail to show is that the tops of the screw covers COME OFF, so you drill the wall, put the wall plugs in and then put the screws through the bottom half of the screw holders. Then you just push the tops back on and slide the hairdryer holder over the grooves in screw covers :-)

Brilliant thing this is, all made from one single piece of wire. Looks great, very functional and takes the worry out of burning anything with heated appliances. A hook on the side holds you plug too so no more rooting around and separating wires each time to use something.

I have the 'Wenko' (gotta love a name like that!) fixed to the wall next to my dressing table. It is so handy. I have my hairdryer and hair straightening iron easily to hand and when not in use it even has a place to hold the plugs so the cables stay more organised and the rest of the family doesn't keep tripping up over them.Also, I can put my straighteners back in this holder when still hot without a problem because they cool down pretty quick anyway.Gosh! I never thought I could be so organised!
