Good Cable Build but check compatibility for your use case
The cable build was of good quality material with gold plating on terminators of USB A and DB9 metal enclosure and pins ends. The one that I got was equipped with PL2303GT USB to RS232 chip converter. Pin layout is slightly different with an FTDI version of the cable.Most modern desktop motherboards and laptops only come with with either USBA or USBC ports. This is a cable good for linking legacy devices with serial port only interface. This is convenient if you don't want to build your own custom cable and module converterCable was detected immediately in a Windows platform and driver installation was a breeze either through windows or from CableCreation website offline installation setup. Detection of the cable was the same story in a Linux based platform but driver needs extra effort.My only gripe was that it didn't work for my use case for own use case implementation of connecting to a Arduino board. But I have to say, technical support is good and kept in contact with me for updates in answering my queries and concerns.

Windows 10 quickly installed the driver for this on first connection. Worked flawlessly right away.

Connect an old mount Celestron Advanced GT to state of the art ASIAir Plus interface. And an old SLT hand controller. (Need RS232 cable)I'm getting new life from old equipment. able to take pictures like this (first try) and even better.
