My cat currently has two of these litter trays.They are small to medium in size.I use crystal litter and after adding approx 3L of crystals in the tray, the crystals do come out and it can become very messy.So what I have done is I put the Moderna tray inside a bigger tray, with a cat tracking mat on the outside.The larger tray catches any immediate crystals that call out, and the mat tracks most of what is caught on my cat's paws.My cat is actually fairly big in terms of its breed, and weight (ragdoll, 5 kgs).

Absolutely fine, no problems. I would point out that there is a small indent in each corner to raise the tray off the floor, these can retain the messy litter when you try to clean it.

Does the job - use as 2nd litter tray for elderly cat

This is a good starter tray for very young cats, or single cats. Was not big enough or sturdy enough for my 2 kittens at 9 months.
