BulovaMen's Precisionist 3-Hand Calendar Stainless Steel with Black Leather Strap and Blue Dial Style: 96B257

Very nice watch for the money, but is did not fit my wrist well.

These are pretty nice as a dress watch or daily wear, they come in 3 colors, I have the blue which was on specail at the time and looks good. The black version does look smarter but I dont really like black, personal preference. There's also a brown/rose gold tone version which is more expensive for some reason, it also looks nice. The dial is quite nicely designed, with applied matchstick hour markers and an inner ring to add some interest. I like that this watch looks smart, if not ultra smart or expensive. I also like its proper leather strap (some have said they dont like it, but I reckon it's good, it's stiff but after a few wears takes on the curve of your wrist). And for less than USD200 for a smart watch you also get a bonus which is the unique Bulova high-speed quartz movement, which is accurate to a few seconds a year. But the coolest thing about this watch is the way the second hand glides along with no perceptible steps, it's mesmerising and it gives one pleasure just to look at it. Also the watch is waterproof to 100m so no need to take it off at all, although the strap will probably not last very long if you get it wet in the shower every day. A replacement silicone or rubber strap would probably look quite good though. Or even a jubilee-style bracelet if you want to make it look more formal. For the price you dont get a sapphire crystal glass, perhaps you can upgrade to one if it gets scratched. The dial is about 40mm across but doesnt look big, and whilst my wrist is 7.5" I am sure it would look fine on smaller wrists too as the lug-to-lug is compact. The date indicator is just about big enough for me to read, although my eyes arent great without my specs. All in all this is a great purchase, well worth 5 stars.

I've had the black version of this for 2 years. It gains less than 1 second per month. I have been shopping the blue dial version for about a year now to get a good price. I got a returned one for much less. Anyway, it is a great watch for the money. I have several other 262 khz Accutron II watches and none are quite as accurate as this model. That's why I went in again for the blue dial one. Highly recommended.

This is a review of this watch's brother, the Bulova 98B267, which I posted today and makes reference to this timepiece. Both are incredible products from Bulova.I had this watch on my Wish List for over a year. Not that I was hesitant in purchasing it, as I love watches, but rather time and distance did not allow for the opportunity. I finally took the plunge prior to a State side visit in November. I figured this would be the perfect watch to complement Autumn colors. I was not disappointed. The watch arrived on time, in mint condition, without a hitch. I'll spare everybody the details of the packaging and such, as detailing the Bulova experience could go on for hours......in a positive manner. The true watch lover will surely appreciate it.The watch was everything I expected, and more. This is a watch that paired with jeans and a collared shirt comes across as very classy. I used it for presenting a slightly more upscale casual appearance, and it assisted perfectly. I can see why it would work great in dressier situations as well, but may be a bit much for a simple t-shirt and around the house wear. But, this also depends on individual style. Without going out of my way to flash it, I was constantly complemented on it's appearance, and several friends of mine who are life long watch enthusiasts quoted prices far above the price that I paid. Satisfied with the immediate reaction to this timepiece, I immediately purchased his brother, the Bulova 96B257, that of the blue face and black band. I was equally satisfied from purchase, to delivery, to adding another beautiful item to my collection. Yes, I am now on the hunt for other variations and color combinations of the Bulova Men's Precisionist Strap Watch, to purchase as time allows, hopefully soon. I can not comment on the Water Resistance quality yet, as I do not shower or enter water with a watch on, nor would I, especially those with a leather band. Again, to each their own. I did wear it during several rainfalls and snowfalls, and there has been no problem with fogging of any type. All in all, I highly recommend this product, and couldn't be happier.

I just received it. I got it because I've loved the smooth sweep-seconds hand and I'm not disappointed.Wristband is a little stiff. Makes me feel like I might break that first loop when I put it on ... which is unmovable close to the buckle.But the main picture is misleading.It was probably taken in a big bright room.The blue was not as blue as shown unless you shine a light at it.Here is a picture of it on my wrist out on a cloudy day.But since it's dark, it provides a good contrast to see the seconds hand moving around...But I really wish the blue was as bright as the picture. One star removed because of that.

Amazing timepiece, 262,000 hertz precisionist quartz mvmt = 16 beats/sec, second-hand sweep smooth as Spring Drive Grand Seiko. Great design elements, superb, very affordable!

Very nice watch. Good finish, mediocre strap but easily replaced. 22mm, not 20mm as described. Back says it's 100 meter water resistant but I wouldn't rely on that as it doesn't have a screw down crown. It does have a screw down back unlike the Grey dial Precisionist for sale here at $10 less which apparently has a press on back. That's a big deal!I'm not a big fan of quartz watches but I sure like this one. I have 50 mechanical/automatic watches. This Precisionest has a smoother sweeping second hand than any of them.Glad I got it when the price dropped to $179. If you can get it at that price, do so. Well worth it.
