Disappointed. Has Sodoum Laurel Sulfate. NOT chemical free, not organic, made in China. I will be returning this item. My search continues....

I am very disappointed to receive this product and discover that it is not sulfate free when I read the ingredients list on the box. Sodium lauryl sulfate is not in the listing as an ingredient, and I would not have ordered the bar if that ingredient had been listed here. My daughter does not share my sulfate allergy so I will see if she wants this shampoo bar. If not then I will ask for a refund because I do not dare use it myself.

We are trying bar shampoo to cut back on plastic packaging. I got this one for my boyfriend since it is a two in one. Bamboo smells amazing and he loves it too. The scent could work for a man or woman. It lathers up like crazy. I haven't used it on my girl hair because I'm convinced I need a separate conditioner so I tried something different and can't say how good the conditioning effect is for long hair but totally a winner on guy hair.

I've been using the Lush honey shampoo bar for years and it was sold out so I had to choose something else. That something else was V05 shampoo (because it was cheap). I noticed it left my hair oily within a day or so of using it, so I needed to replace that with a shampoo bar. I saw this one and thought it would be a great replacement for the Lush bar (shampoo bars do not leave my hair oily).Both Lush and this version work well. What I like about this one is that it lathers up better than the Lush bar, which feels nicer on my head and my hair. However, Lush's version looks and smells far better. This bar looks like it has rice in it (it's not rice) while the Lush version is smooth and pretty. The Lush bar smells like honey whereas this one has a light scent I could barely detect. This version is a few dollars cheaper than the Lush bar, especially in terms of shipping (I have free shipping with Prime). It looks like they both last about the same (2 - 3 mos. if one does not wash one's hair often). I'll update this review if anything changes. I do like this bar - it's a good backup for when Lush's bar is sold out, and I will use this until it's gone. However, I will be returning to Lush because it smells so good and that scent lingers in my hair. And I like that a lot.

This is my first shampoo bar. It is somewhat small, like travel size, but it fits the palm of my hand. It smells wonderfully. The hair was well cleaned after, however the “conditioning effect” is minimal if anything. I guess I’ll have to find an ecofriendly conditioning bar. Good price though.
