Smooth and Soft - Perfect For Soap Making!
This Shea Butter Soap is awesome!I recently started making my own soaps at home with fun molds I've obtained over the last few years, and was previously shredding plain soap bars in order to melt them to pour into the silicone molds.This soap is SO much easier and more efficient to work with. It is easily cut with a sharp knife into small blocks (pre-grooved for easy cutting), and I was able to fill 6 silicone molds completely using half of this soap tray. I use the double boiler method as I find the microwave method, no matter how low the power is or small the length of time, it bubbles up and is difficult to work with (I didn't try the microwave method with this particular soap due to past experience).It is chunk free and smooth, allowing for perfect filling of your desired soap molds.The setting time states 40 minutes, I would however wait an hour or two before removal if the molds are more intricate (or parts break off). Also let the soap sit in the fridge while curing to expedite the hardening procedure.It's not overly sudsy, yet leaves my hands feeling soft and moisturized, which is especially important in this dry winter weather!I'm looking forward to trying out other soaps in this line of products, but I'm sure the Shea Butter will be my top choice!

Can get double the amount at local craft store for the same price… great product tho

Definitely good for beginner use
This soap base is great. I use it to make my personal soaps. The scent is simple and it’s a great moisturizer for my skin. I usually get it from Michael’s, but decided to order it this time. The packaging came all torn and and broken, but the soap base itself seems to be okay
