Za'atar - also known as za'tar, zahtar and zahatar - is a favorite spice amongst Middle Eastern Chefs. This is an authentic blend packaged fresh right here in the USA!

There's a reason it's cheap.
I should have read the ingredient list. Wheat is the first ingredient.

Best Zaatar at an unbeatable price
I searched for a lot of Zaatar online but everywhere they have outrageous price. Finally I came across Spicy World Zaatar and was skeptic looking at the price because no one has any price anywhere near to them. However, I though of giving them a chance and at this price point I thought it can go either way. But to my surprise everything about this product is exactly as they claimed. Now I top everything with Zaatar, such as eggs, tomatoes, cream cheese and bagel, toast, salad and muffins etc. The possibilities are endless. Plus 7 Ounce is a lot to last you for a year if you use like me, which is sprinkle on everything.Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

Za'atar FOR THE WIN!
I really LOVE this stuff. Seriously is a must have in everyone's spice arsenal. I feel like this is among a handful of spices I could totally live on. Received my Za'atar on time and it was packaged well. If you've never had Za'atar, research its history as it is very interesting and cool. I have an Egyptian friend who confirms who awesome this stuff is and what it is. My only regret is not ordering a bigger size. :)

This product is diluted with wheat as the first ingreadient
This product is diluted with wheat as the first ingreadient so essentially I received a much watered down spice mix consisting of wheat grain. False advertising and poor quaility control. Spicy World is not an honest vendor.

It contains wheat!?!?
I just got this in the mail and as a za’tar locef I was super excited. However I’m very upset. The package says wheat is an ingredient. NOWHERE in the ingredient list and description of this product here on amazon did it mention that! My husband has celiac so I can’t even use this. Very disappointed.

My favorite spice mix!
If you want to use some spices that will make company wonder what in the world you did to spice up the flavor of chicken, beef, even vegetables, try this! It's not hot spicy at all, but it gives a great deep flavor without canceling out the flavor of the dish itself. This company gives you a lot more of the spice mixture than the other companies I've seen listed, but looks like Amazon is out of the product right now, which is very sad.

Flavor could be stronger
This product is not exactly what I expected, but I like it nonetheless. I like to open a pita round to two flat, thin pieces, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with za'atar and top with mozarella or feta cheese before heating it. But it also needs a sprinkle of garlic or onion seasoning before the cheese. The za'atar needs to be lavish if you're to taste it.

Alton Brown was right!
I bought this spice mix after watching Alton Brown extol it's virtues on chicken. It's very good in that application, but also with pork or lamb! Loads of complex flavors!
