Classy glasses
I love these glasses! Mikasa is such a great brand! I own a lot of Mikasa products like flatware, dishes, serving ware, and these glasses were a wonderful addition to my collection. They are sturdy, classy every day glasses. And for the price, they are definitely high value for the money!

Affordable quality!
This was the first set of Mikasa glasses I had purchased, and I think they're incredible. The etching is all on the outside of the glass, so it provides texture and grip. It's also very thick glass, so it's not easily breakable. I've purchased several sets of another brand that were far less expensive (12 glasses for $16), but had much thinner glass, so they broke easily. If you stared at them too long, they might break. These, however, I feel are much more substantial and worth every penny.

Beautiful but small
These are absolutely beautiful glasses. These replaced ones that were a little larger. We just have to fill em up more often.

A sturdy everyday glass
A home can never have too many drinking glasses. At our home our tastes run to unmatched collections, unique glasses that allow our guests to choose the size, shape and heaviness of the glass. While some prefer light, thin and delicate I've noticed that those glasses with weight and substance seem to be preferred. And that is my preference as well. While these are machine made, based on looks and feel they rival many better quality crystal glasses I own. They are well made without obvious seams, and seem to be reasonably guest-proof and also dishwasher safe. They are reasonably priced. They are just under 12 oz capacity, which is about the size of a common drinking glass and are practical enough they can be used for juice, milk, water or other beverages if you are not into highballs, after all what counts is what you put in the glass not what shape it is.IS IT REAL CRYSAL?It turns out that there is less magic to the word crystal than I thought. I went to the source and learned that Mikasa defines crystal as "extremely fine quality glass". There are numerous ways of making crystal glassware with the lead content a primary way to judge its quality and the method it's made being the other. A hand-blown high lead content item therefore is not in the same league as a machine-pressed glass with little to no lead content. But they both may be called "crystal". These by the way are machine made.I own other Mikasa products and have always been impressed with their quality ... these are no exception. They look like they will survive for quite a while.
