Close down to f/16 for best corner to corner sharpness
Definitely a lens for creative and artistic photographs. Centre sharp at all apertures. Close down to f/16 for best corner to corner sharpness, though extreme corners still a little unsharp. Excellent mechanical construction.Though no aperture click stops, this is not an issue. Only slight misnomer is reversal of aperture and focus rings, compared to most conventional manual lenses. Bokeh pleasant <f/2.8.

This is a horrible lens.
This is truly a horrible lens. Open, the lens has terrible vignetting, a blue tinge, and very poor contrast. Even at f16, it's not that sharp, and the colors are faded. See my photos. You might want to use this to replicate the look of a toy camera, like a Holga, but it's too expensive for that. I'm surprised by all the positive reviews; perhaps I just got a lemon.

Decent video lens
Is it optically perfect? It is $90 don't be ridiculous. It is a nice cheap fully manual lens which I think does well for video, turn peaking on, stop it down a little and it does the job. There is noticeable focus breathing, not optically spectacular but sharp enough for the average person and for 4k video. If you are buying this lens you wouldn't be using it for professional work, for the price it is a decent lens.If you need a talking head kind of lens that you set and forget this is it.If you need autofocus, well why are you looking at a manual lens?

Should Have Bought this on the very first day!!
Small, subtle, and cinamatic. Thats what you are going to get with this. Do not complain, considering you are getting way more than what you're paying for. The ones who do, they would complain about the holy fuji 16mm 1.4f being overpriced as well.Simply enjoy

Great little lens with interesting colours straight out of camera
Sharpness is great. Focus and aperture rings turn well. I found the colours straight out of camera look just like the Fuji Classic Chrome profile. Samples are from a XT30 with focus peaking and a 2 sec timer. Aperture was wide open and ISO 800 under yellow LED living room lights. Maybe that influenced the colours, but I'm liking this.
