It was an easy read that provided a lot of good info regarding the stock market as well as a good story from the author Danielle Town and her father. I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, it taught me quite a few things about investing. On the other hand, I must say that I struggled a little reading through it. That's how I gave it a three. Perhaps, the best way to describe my reading experience is like I'm "reading an interesting kindergarten book" about investing. Half of the book is Danielle telling her readers how she has no clues about investing... to a point where it starts to hurt. I almost gave up reading altogether. I only realized how bad my experience was until I finally finished the book and began my next read: The Everything Store. Only then, I realized the disparity in the quality of the books. I gave it a 3 because I am impressed by the few things that I learned. If you're just starting out on your investing journey, this may be suitable for you. But if you've a little more proficient, I think you may want to give this a miss. Sorry

I listen to their podcast and had to buy the book as well. While the podcast is hugely informative and motivating, Invested is even better. Danielle really breaks down how to value companies in an easy to read and easy to understand way. Compared to other books about Buffett this one really stands out in that, it breaks down what to focus on to a few simple formulas and numbers. Further, the way Danielle wrote this, it's entertaining, and while you're educating yourself it's still a fun read. I've listened to most of their podcasts and again these are helpful, but it is hard to know what to do math wise after listening to them. With invested having all the number in front of you, it's pretty clear what you have to do. Going to wrap this review up, so I can get back to my spreadsheets :). Thanks again Phil & Danielle for helping teach us how to fish, and for writing it down and recording it so we can take it back and really learn the stuff. Well done!

This is hands-down the best book on investing I’ve ever read! This author shares my fear and uncertainty about investing. She talks with her dad throughout the books and he answers every single question clearly and concisely that anybody can understand it!! If you are scared of investing and don’t know where to start…invest in this book…you won’t be sorry!!
