Very rigid sturdy plastic that seems like it will take a beating. Mine arrived pretty bent up and would not lay flat on the floor. I spent weeks with heavy object on both ends trying to flatten it out. Tried bending it the other direction and never could get it straight. I'm assuming this was from shipping but can't say for sure. I was frustrated and almost returned it but ended up just using some tapcons to mount it to the floor. It has just exactly the right amount of clearance for 3/4 pvc pipe.

This product was not suitable for its purpose. We purchased 2 of them. The were both not flat and after a month still do not lay flat. They bow at the ends so they are a serious trip hazard. Additionally since the cables are just sitting on the floor, they can migrate under the raised ends of the bridge and this is a problem as they can then get damaged. Also the interlocking tabs do not fit in the slots in the other bridge so linking two is near impossible. I had to trim them significantly with a dremel tool to get them to interlock. I even tried to get them to interlock with a large rubber maillot and pressing them with a hydraulic press. Just not made well. Perhaps the molds are worn out. Fundimentally just a poor product. I had to replace them with this product: Happybuy 3 Pack of 2 11000lbs per Axle Capacity Protective Wire Cord Ramp Driveway Rubber Traffic Speed Bumps Cable Protector (2-Channel, 3Pack)., which actually cost less than the two of these cost and I got three. The Happy buy product was flat and interlocked properly. Also it has a lid and channels, so it better protects the cables as well. That product I would recommend.

Cheap quality. Arrived in a warped condition thus causing a pedestrian safety hazard when used on a sidewalk. The Cable Cover will not lie flat due to its warped condition. I contacted the manufacturer who referred me back to Amazon. Too large and costly to ship back to manufacture.

I was needing a protector that could handle a 30 amp cord and all the others were either below or right at the limit and I was afraid they might compress the cord too much. I should have realized how large this was when it mentioned a hose. It protects the hose &a chain, with room to spare. Now I need to find some double stick tape to keep it in place as my lawn mower tends to hang up on it. Still, its better than running over and tangling the cord in the wheels, but it is better suited for being run over by a vehicle. Not something you would put in your office, unless the garage is your office.

I was concerned about tripping over a garden hose that ran across my front porch. This covered the walkway part of the hose and helped avoid safety problems. This is a great product. It is heavy duty, you can step on it or roll wheelbarrows over it without any problems.
