Fit my 2001 polaris sportsman 400 perfect. Ordered this on a Friday and it arrived on Saturday the started ended up being defective when I tested it on Sunday. I put in a exchange on Amazon at i had a working starter by Monday. Despite the fact that the first one was defective. The customer service and the end product was perfect. Not sure of the longevity but I will add more to my review if I have problems. Only reason for 4 stars is because I shouldn't have recived a defective one in the first place.

Absolutely the worst quality I’ve seen on a product. Lasted all of a few months installed. Never in wet environment or mud holes, no storage outside….. this product uses sub par machining, terrible quality bearings (which seized up), and windings that look like they were wound by a cat playing with yarn. Save your time and buy something else.

Had to replace my starter on a 2007 polaris sportsman 500efi. Worked out great. Product was shiny and new - no issues. It arrived faster than promised. Started up right away - sounds smooth with no clicking or issue. This is the second time I have purchased from DB Electrical - great company. Buy with confidence.

I'm not certain of the life expectancy of this product, but it works for now. The installation went well, but when i start my quad, the starter has a whine sound that my original never made. I don't use my quad daily, so maybe it will last for a while. Here's hoping.

Installed on a 2001 Sportsman 500HO. Took about 20 minutes to install. It fit perfect and works great! I would totally recommend this as a replacement if you need a starter.
