Like the headline says so simple and cheap yet very effective.

After hunting on several solutions for car phone holders, I came to this one which seemed the most fit for me. You could see your GPS right in front of you without the hassle of heating your phone if you place it on the dashboard. But once I got it, here are the issues that I faced:1) Tried to put my phone to the clip that holds the phone. This was just above 7cm with a regular phone protection cover. I found it very hard to insert phone to as I could hear the spring tensions. Though it seemed strong, I was surprised by the sounds it came.2) This was the most difficult part ... getting the holder to clip to my steering. I tried locking it without putting it on the steering to see how it functions. And I found it difficult to lock. Since the holder is made of rubber you can pull it over the steering and adjust to the where the lock intersects. As the product did not come with instructions, I YouTubed to find tutorials. After following the methods I was still not happy with the way it locked. I then tried it on my steering and found it hard to but finally got in. Once done it budged a little on top of the horn of the car. I thought it would snuggle between the top of the wheel and the horn. Maybe my mobile was big and the steering wheel is smaller. I then tried to unlock and remove the clip from the steering. This was the most difficult part as I didn’t come off however moderate I tried to apply pressure to remove it. After several minutes of trying, it broke off leaving minute scratches on my wheel and finger.Though the unit did not look brittle, it was not at all user-friendly. Only if the spring tension was little more relaxed and had a better locking system, I would have recommended.
