No Aftertaste
I decided to start a dental program that included in its regimen eating xylitol on a daily basis. Since I don't add much sugar to anything, I decided to try it in the form of a mint.I decided on these due to the reviews and that the xylitol was not obtained in China. Someone had likened these to the Lifesaver wintergreen mints and I have eaten those for years. I can't say that I would liken these to the Lifesavers as they are much smaller, don't last anywhere near as long and don't taste the same. However, they are good and do not leave an aftertaste. I don't like or use the many sugar substitutes out there because of the aftertaste. So I was glad to discover that was not found in these from Xyla. This should be an easy way for me to eat the desired amount of xylitol each day. Each small mint contains .4g and is only 1 calorie. As many have noted, they do dissolve very quickly. So if you are looking for a mint that will last a couple minutes- or even a minute - this is not the one for you. However, if you are wanting to consume xylitol for dental health, then these should work well.Since xylitol can be hazardous and deadly to pets, I think it would be better for the warning to be added to the front of the can and displayed in a way that it stands out. Though there is a warning on the back, it didn't stand out to me.

Candies that are good for your teeth!
It does not get much better than that. These candies are made with xylitol instead of sugar: xylitol tastes like sugar, it is safe for diabetics, it has very low glycemic index (7), it may remineralize teeth and it can prevent ear infections. It has about 30% calories less than sugar. Most of the xylitol on the market is made in China but not these candies, made by Xylitol-USA in the US, from birch trees. I found Xylitol USA to be a great American brand. Two more things to know about xylitol: too much can have a laxative effect and it can be deadly to dogs. The only problem I have with these candies is that it's hard to stop eating them.

Crumbly dusty and stale
Taste is okay, a little stale, but the product is 60% dust and the pellets that aren't dust crumble immediately. I was able to get a refund through Amazon's return policy.

Inconsistent quality.
I've been buying these mints for several years and am disappointed that the quality isn't consistent. Sometimes the mints are solid and taste good. Other times, like this batch, they have a different consistency which crumbles to a fine powder. And sometimes, like this batch, they taste like they don't have enough mint flavoring. One batch I bought a while back was inedible - the taste was so bad, like there was no mint flavoring at all, just a woody taste. I don't know what the problem is but I hope they resolve it soon or I'll have to buy a different brand of xylitol mints. Very disappointing.

Good stuff
These are tasty, with plenty of wintergreen/pepermint/etc flavor. Also, they use the right kind of Xylitol (from wood, better for ya).

Great tase, but........
These little mints dissolve easily in your mouth leaving a clean, fresh taste & feel. They're great for times when your mouth is feeling a dry or "pasty", or when you need a fresh taste after eating. The one caution I have, even though Xylitol doesn't cause as much stomach distress as other sugar alcohols, you do need to be careful not to eat too many in a day. Don't want to be too graphic, so I'll just say you will be spending more time in the bathroom if you eat too much :-)

even though the date was good thru 2017
The first time I ordered these, they were fresh and delicious. This last batch was awful -it tasted rancid, even though the date was good thru 2017. Unfortunately I did not open them until the time to be able to return had passed, so just ended up throwing them out.
