I had a key made for over $100 and it never worked right. Every time I would lock my car the horn would start honking out of nowhere. I would have to unlock and the lock again in hopes my horn wouldn’t go off. I was looking for a resolution for a key replacement I can do on my own. Ran into this product and for the price decided to give it a shot. This product by far exceeded my expectations. Simple to program. I took the key to Home Depot to have it cut. Then took it home programmed it and has been working perfectly for over two months now. I now have the ability to program more keys if I need them. Great product.

Simple key programmer worked flawlessly for my hard to program rare vehicle which is a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition 5.7L Hemi, for which I could not find the exact FCC ID key match online and my particular vehicle is not even listed within the programming instructions but the next closest vehicle code (231) , and closest key with matching buttons ( Amazon Key: OHT692427AA KOBDT04A ) these work form mine., All new keys done within 5 minutes. Now I have a total of four working keys after starting out with just one key that I've been operating with for over a year, dont go without a back up, I've locked my key in this car more than once.Frankly, I had to spend a few bucks on Amazon here and take a little risk but it was well worth it I will never use any other method than simple key programmer from now on. It's better than a expert locksmith, much faster, and cost way less.Here's what I did to program my new keys in: I unpacked everything & turned the key on as instructed, with instructions in hand, (1) I started my car with the factory key & activated the hazard lights, then I plugged the Simple key programmer into the OBD port listening for the 3 chimes, ✓, I turned car off removing the key, putting the car into programming. (2) I put a new key in ignition and turned it to the on position just before the starter position, now listened for the success chime. The key programmed in seconds, I then took it out of ignition and tested all the button functions, all good I unplugged the programmer from OBD port & to confirm everything I put the new key back in and started the car and idled for a minute, this proved the programmer worked , now this key is done. It was so fast and easy I just did it 2 more times with the Amazon keys that match & Im telling you I was done and smiling big within 5 minutes. Such a blessing.Do yourself a favor, give it a shot you're not going to lose much in the end if it doesn't work out, on the other hand, you'll save yourself hundreds of dollars if it does. Ace hardware even cut all three of my new keys for free because the manager wasn't sure if they would work so she did me a favor and told me no charge. Give it a shot you will not regret it. It works. Make sure you pick the correct simple key programmer for your particular vehicle make model year + be sure to get the correct keys to match the one that comes with the programmer and/or your existing vehicle key. ITEM WAS ALREADY USED AND THEREFORE COULD NOT PROGRAM A KEY FOR MY VEHICLE.SEALS WERE ALREADY BROKEN YET WAS STILL SHIPPED TO ME....CRAZY!!!...WHAT AN AGRIVATION AFTER I ALREADY WENT THROUGH A BIG HASSLE JUST TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO EVEN FINALLY CUT THE KEY....UPDATE; WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET AMAZON TO REFUND ME BUT I ENDED UP HAVING TO SEND THEM THE NEW KEY I HAD TO HAVE CUT TO TRY PROGRAMMING FIRST THAT DIDN'T PROGRAM..NOW SOMEONE HAS A COPY OF MY KEY TO GET INTO THE DOOR BUT TRUCK WILL NOT START. STILL NOT HAPPY THAT A KEY FOR MY VEHICLE IS FLOATING AROUND SOMEWHERE IN AMAZON OR WHERE EVER IT WENT ALL BECAUSE AMAZON GAVE ME A USED PROGRAMMER.HOPE THEY DON'T SEND MY RETURN BACK OUT AGAIN TO SOMEONE ELSE.NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO SEE IF IT WOULD EVEN PROGRAM AND NOW I'M SCARED TO TRY AGAIN. I previously had bought one of these for my wife’s car and I had no issues. I bought one for my car and no issues! I programmed 2 spare keys in 5 minutes! You have to follow the instructions exactly and they are simple to follow and easy to understand. A lot cheaper than going to a dealership or locksmith and you can program more keys if you need them! Would definitely buy again.

Works with programming keys for UK Spec Wrangler JK....but key supplied is no use sincexwrong frequency. But wotks fine with Euro key spec (bought separately)

Only had one key for my Jeep Patriot. Dealer quoted $433.00 + tax. Locksmith quoted $250.00, maybe $265.00 + tax. Left message with a couple of mobile key/ car unlocking services, they never retuned my calls (business must be good...) Purchased this kit from Amazon for $154.18 (tax + duty + shipping included). Arrived within a couple of days. Had the key cut for $2.25 at a local locksmith. Took 5 minutes to program, and VOILA!!!! Now, I don't have to worry about loosing my key!

Programming and key did not work for me even after changing battery in key remote. Was hopeful after reading good reviews. Returned item 2 weeks ago and have not received refund yet
