I'm a registered Occupational Therapist and I myself have been experiencing low back pain. Based on my knowledge I believe it to be a bulging disc. I'm in home health which means I'm driving to my patient's home's all day. With an injury like this,the spine must be put in extension (that means bent backwards). Prolonged sitting in my vehicle has taken a toll on my back, as my car does not have great lumbar support. Not only does this work for putting your spine in extension by laying on it, but it's also perfect lumbar support for the car. I've tried the Mckenzie log roll and other lumbar cushions but this product actually works. I no longer have pain during my work day. I use the low setting and it does not force me to sit awkwardly in my vehicle like other products. I've actually purchased two of these-one for my car and one to use in the home to stretch my spine and put it in extension. I don't often leave reviews but this product is worth it! I also recommend this product to my patients!

I suffer from degenerative bone disease in my back and have herniated 9 discs in my back. Now it causes bulging discs. I have a lot of sciatic problems and thoracic pain. This board is AMAZING!! Please start on level one even though it doesn't look like much of a curve. It stretches out my back and shoulder muscles as well. I'm on level two now and got in some good adjustments. I heard the cracking and popping. It felt so good. 10 minutes a day people! That's all it takes! Plus I use it on my chair as back support. I highly recommend this product!! Worth every penny.

My back cracks like a glowstick when I use it

I already did rate this - but here goes again. It is nearly impossible for an older person with no help whatsoever, to put this together. I have carpal tunnel in both hands, and bad shoulders. I almost gave up until I tried using a "crowbar" - which was dangerous for me. But I got it assembled. Assembly requires flexing the top piece... nearly impossible for me. It is working and is all right - however I would say it needs to be 20-30% wider. Obviously it is designed for a "thin" person - while I am not huge, I am on the plump side.

I tried it today for the first time. It was uncomfortable to lay on. However, when I got up off the floor my back pain was less and I felt more comfortable. As I am writing this I am using it for lumbar support in my chair. I have to say that this makes me more comfortable in my chair. I am only rating it a "4" at this time because I just started using it.

If you have serious problems with your back like scoliosis, for example, soft supportive pillows do not help. You need real hard support. This device provides it. love its multi-functioning. I can stretch my back on the floor with it. I can sit and support my back with it. Actually, I bought two of them, one for a car. This one is more comfortable coz the plastic arch is almost solid, therefore, your spine is not falling in the whole like in a different stretcher without a massage option they sell.

Let me start by saying I have had surgery and instrumental fusion at L5. Although many years ago, recently my erector spinae muscles have been causing a lot of pain.Rather than live on Ibuprofen I researched this and thought, what the hell I'll give it a try. I am so glad I did. Using it 5 mins twice a day for 2 days now and already I am feeling a benefit in posture and most importantly in a massive reduction in my lower back pain and subsequent sciatica. I wish I had bought this years ago.

My back felt better after only a few minutes of initial use! First setting feels flimsy / unstable. Second and third setting is great. The pad is a nice added touch. I wish I purchased this sooner
