Clear & concise.
Good quality.Checked initial calibration using the 2 peg test, 1/16" off over a 140 feet distance.Easy to set up each time, for a spectacle wearer, i take my glasses off to sight & the magnification is great & focus adjustment with horizontal fine tuning is great.Exactly what i was wanting in a transit.Just have to call a friend to be the rodman each time.

No usable instructions
Nice instrument but it came with the instructions on a 2.5 inch CD. I have nothing that can open it. Staples can’t open it and our local Word Pro couldn’t open it either. I wasn’t able to get instructions on line or from Leica. It’s not complicated but I’d like to have at least seen the instructions.

Great.
This is the NA500 Series, Leica’s mid-grade line above the 300 and below the 700 series. I’ve had the NA720 for 10 years With the 500 series 32x it is ISO certified for 1.6mm Std Dev for 1 kilometer double leveling. Anybody, such as the gentleman who found it to be a foot or two off in 100 Ft - this means your compensator is likely jammed. Read the manual and you’d know that. Any auto level is susceptible to this and it can be easily resolved. All that being said, this will be more accurate most construction work will require. Surveyors should get the 700 series. However, true first order leveling will require a grade of beyond these devices ($3k to $10k), and exceed leveling capabilities of 1” total station.
