Our disposable caps help prevent cross-contamination and keep the lens free from dirt and build up that might affect your thermometer’s accuracy. Step 2 To turn the thermometer on, push the "start" button. The thermometer is ready to use after two beeps are sounded and the non-flashing ear icon appears. Fit the probe snugly into the ear canal, then push the "start" button. Step 3 One beep signals normal temperature. Audio fever indicator will trigger 2 consecutive beeps when the reading is equal or higher to 37.5°C and 4 beeps if the reading is equal or higher to 38.6 °C. The result is shown on the display.
