Why a THREE rating? Because as a TOTAL novice DIYer I wanted to build beyond the previous wine rack and coffee table I did before.For example I was interested in the outdoor loveseat. As I turned the page to see step by step how to build it I found that not EVERY step was accompanied by a PHOTO. I am a very VISUAL oriented individual. I need PHOTOS of EVERY step!Yes there are simple projects in the book that require hardly any photos.The BEST part of the book for me was the introduction into pallets with PLENTY of PHOTOS! I especially was pleased with learning the correct CODES to look for. Ditto for the correct tools.

This book gives a lot of good ideas for using pallets. The photographs are outstanding and match up with the descriptions on the same page. The instructions are detailed enough that you get a clear picture of what needs to be done in each step. The projects have enough variety and a range of skill levels. This book serves as a jumping off point with some of it's ideas.

Love the book, has great pictures and spreads out the info as you need it. When you buy this book go to amazon and buy a pallet buster, $29.99-$50 depending on which ya get. This tool makes breaking pallets down way faster. You could break down 6-10 pallets in 10-20 minutes depending on how skilled ya get at it.

This book has some really nice projects to do and it has detailed instructions with pictures. This book is a gem for the price.

I think this is pretty basic in what you can build, nothing really that good to be honest. I was hoping to see something good I could build but seems very basic that you could probably work out yourself from just looking at a few pictures. Not really one of my good buys from Amazon unfortunately

Bought as a gift for a friend who started collecting pallets for projects. He already made several out of this book and absolutely loves it. Says it's great for beginners, brilliant ideas, explains step by step and easy to follow. Definitely recommend.

Bought to start working with pallet wood and delighted with it. Clear, informative, well written and inspiring! Already done a couple of projects and looking forward to doing many more. Don't miss it if you need some help.
