Compact with every tool needed
My new essential for packing into backcountry. Lightweight. Versatile. Packed with tools. I've gone through many boarding tools.. this one keeps everything in one place, no loose bits and a removable scraper. I'm getting chicken dinner, it's a winner.

Perfect to caryy on the slopes
Perfect size, and all the tools you'll need for slope-side maintenance needs. I keep this in my pants pocket. Has already paid for itself when my son's binding came loose.

Green cutting part needs removed.
I needed the different size bits this weekend on the slopes. Glad I had it. But the first thing I had to do was grind off that green corner that was cutting my hand every time I tried to use it.

super handy
The ice scraper sold me on this gadget. Its a great tool for uphill/downhill transitions when ice can accumulate in your bindings.

Nice to have in a pinch, but not great
To start, I really like a lot of Dakines products. I was pretty excited to see this tool from them. It's a lot lower profile than some of the other pocket tools I've tried. In that sense, it's great: fits in pockets a lot better/more cleanly. Also, the number of driver tips is nice to have.On to the shortfalls: I took the scraper off immediately. I found that it prevented being able to fold out some of the tools. I have also never needed a scraper while on the mountain so it was no-brainer. While adjusting the angle of my binding (using the #3 Philips), the tip kept folding because the grip was awkward. Also, the little wrench kept falling out while using the driver, which was a nuisance. I expect to lose the wrench in no time. I really wish more attention had been paid to how that stays in place when the tool is in use.All in all, it's just okay. Due to its size, profile, number of tools, I'll probably keep taking it with me. However, I'm going to hope I don't have to use it.
