These scales are great
We use 5 of these in our brewery to weigh kegs as we fill them. They are great, they take a ton of abuse when unloading kegs. They really are meant to be used how we use them, we are using them in a very wet humid environment and it usually takes about 6 to 9 months before crapping out, we've had a couple of troopers for well over a year. With the money we save by not overfilling the kegs, we pay for one each packaging run. So even though we replace a few a year (totally because of the abuse we put it through) it is well worth it rather than paying 7.5k-10k to get a waterproof setup of 5 scales meant for industrial use. If they can last as long as they do getting abused like they do, I'm sure they'd be great in a house or office being used in conditions they were meant to be used in.

In 2012 I bought this scale because I'm a power lifter and most of the weight plates and bars vary in weight somewhat and on a heavy lift it can vary the total by about 10 lbs or more. I tried to use about 6 different household scales and found they were WILDLY inaccurate in weight measured, and consistency. I have found the scale to be consistent over a period of years and also consistent through a range of weights. Mine will weigh 2lbs or 350lbs without drifting. Does not weigh in ounces though - only decimals in tenths of a pound. This doesn't matter to me.Side note - your bathroom scale is lying to you. :)

Good quality scale
I was looking for an inexpensive scale to help ship my heavier packages. I liked this one because it had the stabilizers in the 4 corners, to help accurately weigh packages that were unbalanced. Also love the fact that the display is separate from the scale, so that I can still read it with large packages. The only thing I dislike about this scale is it shows the weight in decimal form, like 4.9 pounds, as opposed to 4 lb 14 ounces. Since I only use this scale for shipping, it's a bit annoying, as the USPS website requires info to be in ounces. The accuracy of this scale is very close, and really, I think any errors come from the rounding/display of the weight in decimal. To solve the problem I keep a note for what 0.1 relates to in ounces, 0.2, etc to 0.9. It's a very small inconvenience compared to saving $100+ on a different scale. The cord for the display and electrical is very long, which of course comes in handy. Overall, very happy with this scale and it does a wonderful job.

Not for soap making!!
I bought two of these scales in the hopes of using them for soap making in large quantities. My mistake was that they do lbs and ounces, but not to the tenth of an ounce. I was willing to work around that because, as I said that was my mistake for not checking when I ordered, but then I noticed my recipes were turning out wrong. I finally realized that this scale cannot measure accurately over a period of time - it has to be within a few seconds. For instance, if I am pouring oil from a melting tank and it takes a couple of minutes, the weight starts go down. I had 6 lbs 2 ounces of soap and was scraping out my tank to get to 5 ounces and no matter how much I put in it stayed at 6 lbs. 2 ounces. I walked away to get another container to pour into and start over, and when I got back it was down to 6 lbs 1 ounce. Very frustrating. I am sure it works for ready packages with only a few seconds on the scale.

Would not work with batteries
The scales worked great with AC Adapter, but would not work with batteries. I had to send it back to the manufacturer. They found a broken solder connection but still had something wrong with it so they are sending me a new one. It is in the mail!!!

This item has saved me money
This scale is perfect for weighing parcels that you are shipping and is very accurate. It also severs as a means by which I can weigh my luggage with out the heavy lifting of the luggage scales with my suitcase attached. No longer do I have to pay extra fees at the airport or stand in line removing items from my over sized suitcase. I also love that it has the display where you can place it eye level and see what your weights are. The display feature is also useful when I want to weigh myself. I no longer have to trying looking through my toes or jump off the scale really fast to see what the measurement is on the display before it goes away. One scale that can server many functions is what I most like and the fact that it is very durable.

Consistent & Reliable (& HEAVY DUTY!) postal scale
This postal scale is consistent & reliable (& HEAVY DUTY!). It weighs up to 400 pounds. Not that I need it to do that much weight, but it is built to last.It is a digital scale, so it will give you pounds and then tenths of pounds (NOT ounces), so you do need to do a little math when using it for sending postage. It has a nice long cord between the scale display & the actual scale, so I tend to put the scale on the floor where it is a nice level surface with plenty of room around it & then just read the display above it on my counter top. Good for when shipping larger boxes.I think that this scale is totally worth the money & will last for many many years.

Best Postal Scale for the Professional
We do 1,000's of shipments a year and needed something accurate and reliable for our larger shipments. For your packages weighing 2lbs or more, this is absolutely perfect. It's made heavy duty but light enough to easily move around if needed. The lighted screen is very clear and bright, which should help eliminate human error. Price is spot on too. The company specializes in manufacturing commercial-grade scales for many different industries, so I would expect it to last a long-while. We searched for days to find the best choice, and this for sure is the best choice.
