Solid unit, but you should know....
Long story (below) short: The unit will hemorrhage water if you stand it up for storage when it is full.I received the rower very quickly - in a huge 80 lb box the size of a love seat. Luckily, I'm strong enough to wrestle the box inside - with a hand gruck. The mechanical part of the unit was assembled and I had to add the runners for the seat. Fairly simple despite the not great attention to detail: hole weren't quite aligned right - on one side the screw heads went all the way in the holes, but on the other, they are left exposed. Not a huge deal as there are no structural repercussions - just a clue to their quality control. After assembly, I added water using the stupid little hand pump that was supplied. Adding ~12 gallons, 2 oz at a time was very tedious and took about 30 minutes. (Use a funnel and pitcher next time!) I'd say it took me over an hour to unpack, assemble (10 screws) and fill with water.I tested the unit and it felt good. It worked well and provided decent resistance. I bought this unit because I'm a big guy (250, 6'3", 34" inseam and there is probably another 8" of track that I don't use) and needed more then the entry level cheaper units. It fits me well. I was relieved as the prospect of having to return the bulky item was not desirable. Done with the rower for the day, I stood it up to store - and saw a big puddle forming on the floor. Assuming I just hadn't put the bung plug in solid enough, I checked it and tried again - and again water just dumped out.The way the unit is constructed, it was very difficult to see exactly where the water was coming from. Assuming it was a missing gasket (or similar), I tried to return or get a qualified repair done on it. I disassembled, spent another 60+ minutes removing the water and boxing the unit up. Because the unit came in a heavy duty box with big brass staples and plastic bands that I could not replicate, I requested that the vendor provide me a location to get it properly boxed. This process was not particularly smooth, but the vendor did eventually compensate me generously with no return.I decided to try to disassemble the unit to find the leak, and after a bit realized that there is an 1 1/2 diameter hole in the top of the tub where the shaft attaches to the blades - no bushing no gasket just a big hole. So this wasn't something that I could fix. I opted to simply try the unit with less water, so the water line would not rise high enough to leak when standing up. (After words, I found the mall print on the very last line of the "manual" the instructs to remove the water from the unit before standing it up.)This seems to work OK. I can just increase reps to make up for the reduced resistance. Some more lack of attention to detail: the unit came with some what I can only guess is "beads" (plastic bag with some blue sand like substance as well of what appears to be some sort of grease. Absolutely no description or direction on what to do with these items. Since I got an Amazon ask on the beads, I can only guess this is typical. If I didn't need to stand it up, I'd have probably given it a 5 even with the other minor annoying detail issues. I feels like a quality unit - that was misrepresented regarding it's ease of storage on the sales pitch.

The product needs to boxed with heavy duty boxes for shipment
I really love this product but the problem is delivery or shipping is very poor

Bad marketing. You cannot stand this up with water in it as there a huge opening on the top
Overall decent rower. The footwell adjustments are useless. But I wanted one which could be stood up to save space and prevent people from tripping over it. This stands up, but cannot hold water and don't try to do it unless you want to flood your house. So you choose. do you want water in your rower or do you one want which stands up (but no water in the rower)

I like it.. I like it a lot...
I am on a diet and want to lose weight. I have been using this daily for the last month. I haven't lost any weight yet but will keep trying. I find it easy to use. The only complaint is my smaller feet slip out of the foot holder.
