Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset

First of all want to praise Amazon. Got these in two days , shipping was super.As for the head set Creative has always had great products and I don't go with their stuff I will go with Logitech. Price wise and review wise this head set beat out anything by Logitech I could find.PRO's:Packaging was very nice and easy to get them out of the box and plastic unlike many items today that are encased in plastic. The headset looks great and are very comfortable to wear. The last two nights since receiving them I have done 2, 3 hour sessions on Black Ops II. Never felt any pressure from them and they were easy to adjust to fit my head. I have a rather average sized head and ears. The earmuffs are very comfortable and just big enough to fit over my ears. Anyone with larger ears may have a bit of a problem with fit. As to noise cancelling they do a very nice job. You can still hear things around you enough to know it is the phone, the doorbell, or the wife wanting to talk to you, but cuts enough noise so outside things are not a distraction. The head set feel sturdy enough although they are totally plastic. No reason these should not last a long time if cared for with a little horse sense. Set up was literally plug and play. Had to tweak the mic a little and balance the in game volumes, but that is normal and took just a couple of minutes. The sound is okay. Bit too bassy for my taste but all in all the high's and low's are well balanced and in game you hear everything quite well and directionally they are very nice for a set at this price point. They are very good for music.Cons:I am a bit disappointed with the mic. Had to set realtek settings to 100% with a one step boost to get it to a decent level for use on Ventrillo. In giving it the one level boost I picked up a little feedback buzz in the headset but frankly nothing real obnoxious or annoying. Cant' hear it at all if in game or if music is playing. Keep in mind I have on board 5.1 audio which could account for having to push the mic on this a bit. I am still not sold on the removable mic either. I prefer to have a mic I can just swivel up and out of the way. Also a bit disappointed with the quality of the wire used for the plug in to my PC. If the wire there is that small I can only imagine how small the wiring in the headset must be. Concerns me that they could break easily. $0.30 worth of better wire would make a huge difference.Final thoughts:It is because of the wire size, volume issue, slightly too much bass, and mic that cannot swivel out of the way that I rated these a 4. For the price I can't think there is another headset and mic that would perform better. I have had more expensive headsets and the sound from these is just as good. The last set I had, I had for 6 years. They were less expensive head set just like this one and held up well so I am hoping these will do the same. I really love the comfort of these, the sound is every ounce as much as I need and I can deal with the mic issues just fine. I am thinking it would take very little cost and effort for Creative Labs to turn this set into a very quality set and if they do I would definately buy them again. Would I recommend them to a friend? That would depend on the quality the friend was looking for. If a friend was looking for a decent head set and mic at a very reasonable cost point, yes I would recommend them to a friend. If the friend is looking for high quality I would advise the friend to go to a better set.

While I've only had this headset for a few days I've thoroughly enjoyed using it.Sound:The sound quality is very good for the price. I'd probably put it about on par with the Sennheiser HD 202's. Great sounding bass and mids and highs are still fairly well balanced. While this is no audiophile headset, it still sounds great, even to my bass craving ears. My regular headphones are the Sony XB 500 which have an enormous amount of fantastic bass. These are a bit weaker on the low end than those but are better balanced than the Sony's. Also the sound separation between different sounds isn't quite as distinct as some other headphones. However most of that is just nitpicking. These truly do sound great, especially for the price. Also the mic has been great as well. My friends have noticed a better quality sound now that I've switched from my webcam mic to this, background noise is cut down significantly and I come through loud and clear.Comfort:While I'm spoiled by some other headphones, these still are great. I've worn them for several hours in a row and they don't bother me. While they feel a bit tight at first I'm sure they'll lossen up. The earcups are fairly soft and the headband has some really nice thick padding. The earcups are a bit small and will press on the edges of your ears depending on ear size. I wear glasses and these don't interfere at all.Sound Isolation:This is pretty decent, not fantasic, but blocks out enough to wear I can't really hear the loud hum of my computer or my noisy fish tank when playing a game.Build Quality:This is the slight drawback of the headset, it feels very cheapy plasticy. While still feeling fairly sturdy, the entire construction is of plastic and would probably be pretty easy to snap. If these just sit at your desk and are used for gaming and the like you should have no issues. However if you plan to travel with these and use them as headphones or bring them to LAN parties, you might have some durability issues show up in the future.Other Thoughts:Installation was fairly simple. Had to change the default recording and playback device in Control Panel. No drivers, just a couple settings switched. The cord is fairly long and allows me to get out of my chair and about 7 feet from my desk while still having the headset on. It also has a mic and headphone plug on two cords but this narrows into one after a little plastic piece. This means you won't have to worry about 2 cords eventually resulting from your previous one. Cord isn't super thick or feel very sturdy but shouldn't be much of an issue. Mic is easily removable (only goes in one way, with the slot). This makes it easy to take these around as headphones if desired.Overall: A great headset that can both double as a gaming headset or as a decent pair of headphones if you're willing to deal with the extra plug and long core. The plastic construction makes me a bit nervous though for much travel.Edit: These broke on me a few weeks ago. Totally my own fault and not really the headset's. Basically they got caught on something and I yanked the microphone cord straight out of the point where the mic and sound cable meet into one. Still works fine for listening but the mic is useless now. Didn't really surprise me that they broke but disappointing none the less. I'm honestly surprised they lasted as long as they did because the construction is pretty shoddy and the cables feel cheap.

LO BUENO- Exelente calidad de sonido y separación de los mismos. Puedes jugar y tener música al mismo tiempo y puedes distinguir claramente entre la música, el juego y tu amigo hablando por skype o curse voice.- Buena calidad de micrófono, lo puedes posicionar a diferente distancia de tu boca y tambien se lo puedes quitar a la diadema en caso de que solo utlices los audífonos.- La diadema es comoda en especial si tienes uan cabeza normal o chica, si tienes una cabeza grande talvez no sea tan comoda.- La diadema NO es noise cancel pero pareciera que lo es, dado que los colchones quedan muy pegados a tus orejas y no dejan pasar el ruido, tanto asi que a veces no escuchaba cuando me hablaban desde el otro cuarto o el teléfono o el timbre.- Diseño bonito y atractivo- Control de volumen sobre el cable de la diadema.LO MALO- La presión de los colchones de la diadema es sobre tus orejas, es decir estas no cubren por completo la oreja. esto puede ser algo negativo para algunos dado que no cubre por completo tus orejas pero aun asi encontré que eran muy comodas, tal vez te cansan unpoquito después de jugar 5 o 6 horas seguidas.- El acabado del producto es bueno pero lo siento un poco frágil. Compre 6 diademas y ninguna se me ha roto por el momento.- El cable de sonido y micrófono es delgado, por lo cual debes de tener cuidado si eres de esas personas que se mueven mucho por que podrías romperlo de un buen jalon.He comprado muchas diademas de diferentes rangos de precios y esta es la mejor con las tres B. Buena, bonita y barata, pero ojo, no por eso este es un producto "económico", la verdad es de muy buena calidad, inclusive yo diría que esta muy barato por lo que te dan, si lo comparo con otras diademas que son mas caras y no tienen ni la mitad de cualidades positivas que esta.

Cumplen, por el precio es aceptable, tienen buena calidad audio y transmisión de voz incluso aislan un poco el ruido exterior (poco pero sí es notable). Lo malo es que los materiales de fabricación son muy baratos y al mover ligeramente la cabeza con ellos puestos oirás el crujir de los plásticos moviéndose entre sí. Esto se puede disminuir un poco colocándolos un poco más ajustados pero aún así es bastante molesto este punto.

La calidad de construcción no es la mejor, esta hecho de plástico casi todo y se siente algo barato. Sin embargo, es ligero y comodo, es over ear, es decir, no reposa sobre la oreja.El sonido es bueno, pero no es la gran cosa. De igual manera el micrófono es aceptable.

Buenos audífonos, muy cómodos y el sonido quizá no es el mejor pero es bastante bueno, tiene bajos muy definidos y agudos equilibrados, que el micrófono se quite y se ponga es muy cómodo, el servicio de amazon esta de sobra mencionarlo, excelente.
