Item does not fit an 8yr old, I researched trying to find something for my daughter since she sprained her knee in cheer. This was supposed to work but doesn't. I would highly recommend it for children under 6 years old but not older than that. If you do need one for a younger child then this would be perfect

This brace is very high quality! I think it will last us a long time!I was shocked by the low review below.... Their child was probably a small adult size. Everyone's different!The measurements for my child fit with this brace...but an adult size small is the next step up from this size. Just because it says children's doesn't mean your child fits those exact measurements! I suggest this to all my neighbors!These are the measurements I found on the distributer website... Make sure you measure right! All children are different sized, and your kid may have to use the adult sizeIf your kid doesn't fit this measurement, they're in the adult sizes.23 - 26 cm & 28 - 32 cm.....Children (colour blue/orange)Hope this helps someone out there.
