Syma introduces the newest Syma X6 Quadcopter. It is the Largest Syma Quadcopter in the market (approximately 22.4 inch in width and 22.4 inch in length). This value package Comes equipped with 2.4 Ghz transmitter, 1 Stock 7.4v 850 mah battery, 1 Helizone RC 7.4 850 Mah battery for double the flight time, and extra set of spare blades. Each battery lasts about 6-8 minutes, and each charge will take approximately 60-90 minutes for a full charge. Grab one before they all fly away!

Excellent value toy
This is my 2nd syma quadcopter and I am very happy that I upgraded. This one is very easy to control. I was doing flips within my 1st 3-4 minutes of flying. I replaced the syma x1 I owned with this one and I could not be happier with the upgrade. The remote is almost exactly the same, which is ok because it is a simple remote to use. Mine came with a extra battery, which was loose in the packing so be careful not to discard (I almost did!).Anyway, this is a awesome toy for the price. I am sure they are giving the more expensive models a run for their money! Great job Syma.*UPDATE* One of the small plastic gears lost teeth. Not sure why this happened... Maybe the motors are too strong for the gears? I looked for replacement parts because I wanted to keep it, but I could not find any so I will return for refund.

Great...when it stays in one piece
I really like this quadcopter, or at least I want to. It's big, looks cool, does flips in midair and can handle some decent winds. However, in my experience, there's a big problem: the rotors keep falling off. The rotor screws into a small, plastic piece, which attaches to the motor shaft. I bought two of these X6's, and both of them have had the same problem. I'll fly them a few times and then a rotor will fly off without warning.I've attempted to re-attach the plastic piece, but it kept coming loose. I even tried gluing it, but that turned into a disaster. My last resort was to order a new motor assembly, and I'm hoping that fixes the problem. This is fun when it actually flies, but it's basically just a low-quality toy that breaks easily. I would avoid buying this unless you're prepared to spend more money to fix it. I could understand if it broke due to a hard crash, but breaking on its own is unacceptable.***EDIT***I got a new motor shaft/plastic piece and so far, the prop is staying put. One thing I noticed is that the issue with the prop flying off seemed to happen soon after doing flips. Maybe the flipping action puts too much stress on the pieces? At any rate, I've flown it several times, but don't use the flip feature anymore, and props have stayed put. It's a shame I can't use this feature because it's cool to see this thing flip this way and that.

Short Radio Range
I wanted a large, inexpensive quadcopter for outdoor visibility and stability, to learn with, so I bought the Syma X6. It's a good buy, it's easy to fly, and the learning curve is very, very short compared to learning to fly an RC airplane. Minor "accidents" do not seem to damage it, and if you run into something, it rights itself. But keep it close to you. I learned early on to keep it low and close when leaning how to fly it, and to reduce power if I was mentally overloaded or out of sync. I became more adventurous as I learned to fly it farther and higher. Then I learned there is a problem with the X6. If it gets above tree height, consider it gone. Transmitter range is short, and it took a while before this "sunk in". Three times I let it get maybe 50 feet up and then I lost radio control. It would not respond or come down, and I thought it was the wind at first. I was lucky and got it back in one piece each time. When it gets out of range, it will eventually fly maybe 2-300 yards and then it will slowly descend. Once, I turned off the transmitter with the receiver on to talk with someone, and it took off by itself several minutes later. By the time I saw it, it was out of transmitter range. I bought a second one, a WL toys V323, and its radio range seems to be better. The V323 has a wider range of control level sensitivity adjustments (this setting determines the max tilt level). The S6 has only HI and LO, which does not offer this range of control, and for that reason the V323 can handle stronger wind speeds than then X6. The V323 also appears to have a more powerful transmitter. So far, the V323 has not gone out of range, or departed on its own with the transmitter off.

You have to pay CLOSE attention to the manual!
First - you absolutely MUST read the manual! (My wife bought this for me!) Second - you *must* pair the quadcopter EVERY time you turn on the 'copter' and the control transmitter! The ONE MAJOR POINT that MUST be pointed out - CAREFULLY look at the MANUAL! Everything *IS* based on having the front of the QUADCOPTER point *AWAY* from you! I will also note that *when* you indeed DO break the foam frame - you CAN fix it with careful application of a hot melt glue gun! Do NOT touch the metal nozzle to the foam! Carefully allow the melted glue dribble into the break! Take your time and be patient!Once you get the proper orientation - NOSE POINTED AWAY - It becomes MUCH easier, and will make much more sense!

so good. Relatively easy to get going (I'm a novice
So far, so good. Relatively easy to get going (I'm a novice, as is my 10 year old who uses it). Sturdy, takes a licking. Flies pretty much "as advertised". Only two "negatives": 1. Relatively short battery life, so probably worth investing in a second one; 2. Can't get it to "flip" using controls as directed, though I've seen videos on-line of this function. Overall, lots of fun for boy and Dad.

So far so good.
This product came with everything as described. I had an issue with the receiver at first but I changed the batteries and it's working fine. The quad does seem a little under powered due to the weight of the foam protective guard but it works with no major issues. I took the plastic canopy and foam padding off but there is nothing protecting the pc board when it's flying. It's a lot faster without the extra weight but I'd feel safer if the board had a cover. All things considered this is a decent quad.

worked good for a minute
the foam shroud around the propellars broke right away. There is some sort of rod that runs through the foam for support, but that ends up snapping and ripping the foam apart. This quad is an entry-level RC so you get what you pay for. As far as Syma goes, I've had Syma products before and i would buy another one... just not this one!
