The handle itself is great. The ones on my recliner were plastic. I ordered metal and feels it will hold up better. Unfortunately the cable was too long. We used our current cable. We did have to notch out the section where the cable connects to the handle just a little. The ends were different and the old one was wider. I will order again if it’s just the handle that breaks.We found a very quick and easy to understand you tube video. It was very helpful for a few little tricks to make it easy to change in a few minutes. Make sure you pay attention where your cable is weaved and don’t let it fall when you detach it from the handle. I held it while my husband disconnected it and so where it went.

A little disappointed. when I replaced my cable, the middle cable fastening insert didnt quite line up with the hole in my reclining sofa...So I thought no biggy...but then as I was trying to install the cable into the lever housing, it wouldnt reach for the nut to reach the threads...so I kinda tried to pry the gap a little and the cast metal broke...Totally my fault, but something to be aware of... I like the feel of the metal over the plastic, but this time I bungled it...But the shortness of the cable holder not matching my sofa was a bit aggravating, but also nothing earthshattering....thats why they make ducktape anyways, right? So I ordered 2 more---from another manufacturer, and we'll see how that goes.

The exposed cable length (spring length) is a very important number. The exposed cable length is given in the description as 2.7 inches or 90 mm. First of all, 90 mm is 3.54 inches, not 2.7, so which is correct? Also, when I ordered this the exposed cable length on the unit I received as 4.25 inches.

Seems sturdy but I just installed one for now. Doesn't pull long enough to release my recliner, not the manufacturers fault. It didn't include the cable retaining clips.

Not happy. The end part of this isn't long enough and doesn't fit. Not universal. I have 2 recliners and I tried it on both of them and it didn't fit.

Easy to install and feels alot more secure than the original plastic stock crap. I thought I would need to get a sofa set. Simple 15 minute fix.

The s-hook wasn't curved enough to slide through the hole all the way.

In the Q and A section the seller is asked 12 times if cables are included, for which 12 consumers said yes. The seller made no attempt to dispute, correct, or add any comments. So, in my opinion cables were to be included. Nope.That said, I have installed the product, fit is good, easy to install the handle, and they seem like a solid metal. Once I find and install the cables, I'll be able to comment on sturdiness.Cheers

Ordered twice, and despite what the questions asked about the product stated there was no cable included and the old one would not work. It’s too bad as the handle itself was a match to the old one except for the cable.

It's all metal NO plastic feels solid, bought 2 will order 2 more perfect replacement ..

if it lasts its worth 5 stars, easier to install, didn't have to turn the couch like the ones with the cable. little bit skeptical of the slot and overall weakness. Time will tell.
